Not an herb... but B vitamins... specifically B12 lozenge in the morning... have helped me soo much!

hi saltire

i read about this in a magazine once but have never taken it or any other mood enhancers. its called SAMe. of italian origin and started on the market in 1970s. i went to b sure i remembered correctly and to my suprise it claims to b good for arthritis too. im sure theres better info out there but this is what i found www.biopsychiatry.com/sameart.html

Sounds like a terrific Fish Oil. Have to check with my pharmacist to see if it is possibly sold here. smile

have heard of SAM-e before. I will ask my pharmacist if she feels it may of help for my sore joints. I am sure it will be. If it helps with my depression, even better! Thank you for posting this, sunnypower. smile

St. John's Wort is very, very good. It's the "gold standard" of alternative antidepressants.

If it doesn't do it for you within a couple weeks check and see if you can buy 5-HTP (hydroxytriptophan) without a prescription there.

If that doesn't help, and if you can get it, try samE (S-adenosylmethionine). See: http://www.biopsychiatry.com/sameart.html
