If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Yesterday I ran 4.26 miles in 41:51 minutes. I am having a hard time sleeping at night. My legs keep jerking. I think it may be related to MS, but I don't know. Running is hard when you have not had a good nights sleep in several days. I'm impressed that you're able to run with the insomnia. It just trashes me when I lose sleep. Are you getting enough potassium? Of course you've probably already thought of this. When I ran, WAY back in the day, I took a homeopathic "cure" for twitchy legs called Calms Forte. My legs have been behaving badly the last couple of days as well. Sorry your are so jumpy. Go TEAM! I try to eat a banana every day for potassium, and I take a multivitamin. I am not a big believer in vitamins, but it does seem to help with the twitchy legs. My wife had got a different brand of vitamins a few weeks ago. I switch back to the regular brand yesterday to see if that will help.

This morning I ran 4.66 miles in 45:26 minutes. I didn't get up early enough, and was a little late to work. When I started running it was snowing. The snowing stopped soon after I started running, but the wind was cold. I was wishing I would have worn gloves.

Hi Steve, I hope your legs calm down. You are AMAZING to keep on going the way you do. The fact that you do, tells me that I can too. I totally understand not putting much stock in vitamins. I used to feel the very same way, until every medicine they put me on systematically quit working or threatened my life. Then I started to look. This article is about MS, and a lady who ended up not having it. It might explain why some of your vitamins seem to work better than others. I am shocked at the info he gives here on the differences in calcium supplements. And then the article talks about what you can do if you actually do have MS. It also links a free book about MS protocol by a Dr. Klenner. See what you think. Take Care, Donette http://www.doctoryourself.com/calcdef.html

Today I swam 1,250 yds today in 40 minutes. Still haven't figured out what I was doing last week that improved my speed. Of course, I could have just been having a great day. I wonder if it had to do with a 50m length instead of my usual 25y length. Maybe the turns add time? I dunno. I'm getting psyched up to see my new doctor May 11th. It's so hard to meet a new doctor because I have to go over the meds again, and the NSAID allergy is a booger because they automatically assume I'm narcotic shopping. On the up side, the 30mg Cymbalta is keeping the narcotic days to a minimum. Go TEAM!

good luck with the new doc. i'm finding this "medical resume" to be very helpful with new doctor visits. and last time, new rheumy, he caught something on there that i wouldn't have thought to discuss, something he thought important. its just a really quick way to get everything out there. i do think a longer pool could add time, if turns take longer. on the other hand, if pushing off adds some speed, then don't know. either way, such an inspiration how you swim every day!

ditto at the marveling at the running! think its great you keep doing it. as for the vitamins and minerals, until very recently, except for maybe the calcium, i thought "i eat a healthy diet, i don't need supplements." but i started magnesium in january to see if it would help my GI issues and it has. and something else that totally surprised me: no more AM calf or "anytime i'm immobile" foot cramps. its been long enough now, i really do think its the magnesium. i also take D and will be starting CoQ on the advice of my rheumy. maybe vit C too, again rheumy's suggestion. all things he thinks will help with muscle or inflammation issues. this supplementation thing is all new to me; i'm still a bit skeptical, but open to the idea, especially after seeing the results of the magnesium.
