Beloved,
It does not sound like much, but it is painful after while.
Does not matter how tight my shoes are tied, it does not matter wether I wear expensive or cheap shoes or boots, after a few minutes, the rotation of my foot causes my socks to twist half a turn. It creates pain in the ball of my foot and heel.
I have tried very tight socks....
I have trouble reaching my feet anyway,,, but twisting the socks gets old..... both feet do it but right foot is the worst..

Yes, I do have a funny gate, my calf muscles seem to be pulled to the outside of my shin. sort of the reverse of shin splints...

When I take my shoes / boots off at night, the heel of my sock is at the top of my ankle..

Idears???

Go sockless!

Perhaps though if in the morning you put the socks on upside down, by evening they will be the right wat round!!

Mine twist sometimes too and I hate it! At least it will be sandal season soon! smile

Hi Lon I hate that it can be painful and very uncomfortable I agree. It happens to me if my socks get too old and the elastic gets weak. Your case is different what about suspenders. No I don't mean ladies. You know the men's ones other than that I don't know
Go without socks or chop your feet off neither are very practical.

It may sound funny but have you tried just wearing nylons. I used to use them for sking. They are warm and very comfortable. I thought they had a slight massaging effect to them also.

Yep got me plenty o' them twisted socks too. MAybe you should glue em on. They may not move once the glue dries but sock removal may hurt a bit.

I always figure when I get done with my socks if some sort of forensic pathologist get his or her hands on them they would quickly idnetify me as someone with AS. Yep commit the perfect jewel heist or steal a clssic piece of art from the Louvre, escape your pursuers but leave a shoe and sock behind and some smart AS forsenics guy or gal would say I know this briliant thief clearly has AS. Look at the classic AS sock contortion pattern.

Yep its the only thing kept me away from a life of crime.

Alan,
Only a person with such astute knowledge of be twisted would figure out such a thing so swiftly. I just can not bear the thought of knowing they would be twisted to start the day.........
