By the way, I know we have a fair number of members in Aukland, whom I presume are safe, but we have 4 members (that I know of) in Christchurch and although we don't hear from them overly frequently, it would be good to know they are all right.

We Californians complain about all the strict building codes that require seismic upgrades to public buildings. I that God that we do have those strict codes when I see such devastation. Those old brick buildings just don't hold up well in earthquakes. Wood frame buildings like most of our homes are built have some flexibility built in.
I keep hoping we will here good news, but it keeps getting worse. My heart breaks for those who are injured or have lost love ones.

I've been hoping that Chelsea (Kiwi) might pop on. I know that she's not in Christchurch though, thank goodness, but I'm sure it must be weighing on everyone.
It must be so frightening, it is heartbreaking to watch the news.
