Hi All,
I recently went to listen to a lecture on maintaining an alkaline system. Having half a lemon a day or 1/2 tsp of apple cider vinegar diluted in water helps achieve this balance.
Here is a link that has a lot of information.

My wife just happens to be a winemaker, yes! have to ask her to bring more free samples home. Although I am a regular wine drinker especially with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir and I also work in the industry myself but my ribs are killing me at the moment :-) I like the theory though and will keep trying!!!

The research thus far points to Chardonnay and to a lesser extent Pinot Noir. Not red wine, cider, or wine vinegar.

You can read a bit about it here:

Interesting. I make sure I have a bit of acid in some form (balsamic vinegar on salads, or lemon juice in hot or cold water to drink, or pickles) with most meals because I think it helps digestion, but good to know it helps in other ways too.
