My oldest sister has been working with Dr. Reveille for many, many years now, she's been in that unit for over 18 years now, her working in this field has been a real blessing for us, having so many in our family plagued with auto-immune diseases.

Gee, drizzit:

I now wonder why we have so many anti-self proteins running around in our blood; just a coincidence I suppose!

Next they will be saying there are no prion diseases--oh, wait...yeah there really are no proven prion diseases after all.

Some things are just too easy, but when those who presume and pretend to know what they are doing flail around so stupendously it is not only entertaining but also instructive: Welcome to the New Middle Ages

HEALTH,
John

Do you see Dr. Reveille as a patient there too?

Hi taberge, I saw Dr. Reveille a few years back and participated in a clinical trial study and a family genetics study but my regular rheumy is Dr. Dhawan in Shreveport at the Arthritis Center of Excellence and I get wonderful treatment there, if that's an option for you, I would definitely reccomend that, it's worth the drive, I hope all has been well with you, I'm in one of the worst flares ever...doesn't feel like I'm going to survive this one...

Michelle, I am so sorry that you are having a flare, on top of all the problems you have had to face over the last couple of months. I pray that you will start feeling better soon.

I'm sorry to here about your flare. Prayers to you for you.

I am in the study with TASC atm and I have the kits for my family and their questionnaires to get them on board also. I almost didn't sign up for the study thinking I would be stuck, poked, prodded, and shot up with experimental crap. I wish they had only had told me up front that they were just going to take measurements and request info from the normal blood work the rheumies do anyway. I wouldn't have had any reservations. Fortunately the drive to Houston is slightly less longer than Shreveport and I do treat myself to Pappadeaux's in Beaumont on the way back. It is a long drive but I feel that I should contribute in some way to help find better treatments or a cure God willing. I was initially referred to one of the two rheumies here in Lake Charles. After talking with several people that I work with that are their patients, not one of them would recommend seeing either one if they had a choice to do it over again. I researched who were the top authorities in our disease and Dr. Reveille's name popped up, so I packed up and headed that way.
