Just going to let everyone know that we got Ethan in today and he now has a beautiful sky blue cast on from just below the knee all the way down to the end of his toes..lol

He has to keep the cast on for 3 weeks, we will cut it off, X-ray again and if it's not healed another cast and another 3 weeks, if it is heeled then the boot for a month or so.

His leg has been hurting really bad today but the Dr. said the cast would actually make it feel better because its cast at the angle it is suppose to be and he has high arches and the boot isnt made for high arches so when he wears that again they will put an orthopedic arch in there for him, since he has had the cast it is actually feeling a little better, the BEST part is he can do anything in it even swim it is waterproof...lol so guess who was back out in the pool tonight with us?..lol

Well a little stress off now, treatment again next wednesday excited about that, now if we can just keep everyone healthy for awhile..lol

Hugs,

Lisa

glad he finally got casted, and that cast sounds so cool, sky blue and waterproof, can't beat that for a cast! well, maybe if it were autographed by me! LOL! grin2

anyway, glad he got it casted, just wish it hadn't taken you so long to get in, but at least now it has a chance to heal properly, and maybe won't hurt so much! here's to a speedy recovery! roll

What good news! Blue cast---won't show in the water!!! So he can wear it in the water? Does it have a drain hole besides the toes? Seems like it would get awful damp inside (PU).

I know you are happy to avoid surgery. (I have to wear an arch support in my cam boot, so I know what you mean on that one)

That pic of Sonar is so cute. And that 'cone of shame'. Pups have to go through so much.

I am so glad Ethan finally got a cast on his leg. I hope it starts feeling better. I just can't bear to see a child in pain.

Sonic is a beautiful dog. I hope his foot is all well.
