If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I have read that lactose can also be a problem. I do not drink milk, but i do eat cheese, cream and greek yougart, plus a lot of butter. Do any of these items have to go because of the lactose issue
thanks for your time
Joanne

Hi It seems like some people can handle dairy and some can't. My children, one sister, and great-niece get really sick from dairy, but it doesn't bother me a bit. Peace

hard cheeses [parmesan. romano etc] typically have less lactose than soft unless its made w/ buffalo, sheep or goat milk. apparently cows milk = higher lactose.
butter is usually very low lactose.. assuming you arent eating margerine and calling it 'butter' lol
cream has lactose
greek yogurt = unsure yogurts usually digest a liittle easier BUT they do contain lactose.
i havent tried it yet but i wonder if the lactase drops would help digest so it keeps from bringing on AS pain.

I am fastingn right now which means when i return to eating i will be able to eliminate more or less anything i want. i feel i do need the butter, and the hard cheese would be helpful so for a few weeks i will drop the cream and yogurt and see how i go
thanks, you are all confirming for me more and more the truth about my illness
Love joanne

Ghee/clarified butter is pretty much pure butterfat -- butter minus the trace amounts of water, protein, and lactose. It is pretty expensive though...
I've been making homemade yogurt from lactose-free whole milk because it seemed like the store-bought yogurt had too much lactose. Note that the lactose-free yogurt still has sugar in it, just simpler sugars than lactose which are more likely to be quickly digested instead of fermenting in the gut -- so you'd have to count those sugars towards your daily sugar limit. The upside would be that yogurt is a probiotic.
