If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Thank you! Nope, that Sir Frederick Leighton's Flaming June. One of my favorite pre-rafaelite paintings. I wonder if I spelled that right?

oh goodie erica!!! you wont be sorry!! this book is wonderful in explaining most everything about starch avoidance. one thing to keep in mind is that carol lives in the UK and some things she mentions may not be suitable for others outside the UK as ingredients may be different. also she says go low starch at first but the vote is in amongst ASers........ go NO starch straight away!

How does poor Carol Sinlair get by without black pudding? My hubby and I had the best breakfast in London a few months ago, and it was my first experience with black pudding. YUM! When we got home to the states, one of the first things I did was look up a recipe and I got no further than "start with a quart of fresh blood". BLOOD! Well, anyway, it truly was yummy, but I wouldn't have eaten it if I'd known. So... what am I talking about? Yes, the low starch vs no starch thing. I'm feeling really good with less than 50g of starch per day. Some days I eat less, and I always stay below. For some reason I've been blessed with iron guts, though oddly both of my kids have the IBS monster. Thanks for being persistent with the book suggestion. I am still experiecing some denial!

you may be one of the lucky ones who can get by LSD. remember: starch and carbs are two diff things. in the other thread you said you eat less than 50g 'carbs'. here you said 'starch' lol. if you go by carols rules,. she says 50-100g carbs.

Oh yes, starch is what I mean! I probably eat around 100g of carbs and I stay under 50g of starch. I only just learned the difference between simple and complex carbs this year, and starch ~ that's a whole other story. What I presume is starch is the difference between the carb and sugar count on any label. Do you think that's right?

Google:
monosaccharides disaccharides ogilosaccharides polysaccharides
Those are the different types of carbs. It's quite interesting. Most of the info I found was attached to medical school test links.
Lukke til!
