I was getting worried that my insurance wasn't going to approve my Rx for Humira. It has been almost 4 weeks. I started calling my Dr. office and then the insurance. I found that it was approved last week. My pharmacy just hadn't checked. They kept telling me it was on hold. My Rheumy's nurse faxed them the approval from the insurance and then they said I could come and pick it up.

I was getting worried. With the new healthcare bill, I was expecting the insurance to start cutting back on what they would cover. So far, so good.

So glad it's been approved for you Donna, that is very good news. Good for you for checking into why there was a continuing delay. Sometimes a phone call or two can really pay off.

Good luck with this medication - I hope it works really well for you!

cheers,
mig

Does anyone know how fast could you expect to go off mobic after starting to take humira. Did anyone experience indigestion with the ankylosis spondylitis to the point to need to induce vomiting evry night. Possible side effect from taking for 2 years mobic 7.5mg.

Hi there and welcome to KA. smile

NSAIDS, of which Mobic is one, can cause gastric distress in people who take them longterm. I got ulcers from NSAIDS 6 years ago and was subsequently recommended for a biologic.

Every patient is different, and I've not been on Humira to this point, but it can take several months before you start feeling the full benefits of any biologic med.

I hope it helps.

Hugs,

Kat
