If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

So what happens if you took enbrel then next day you had emergency surgery?
I took enbrel on July 18th and I had an emergency surgery on gall bladder removal. I did let my surgeon know that I had taken enbrel last night. He wasn't worried.
I am feeling fine and recovering good. I think I may be lucky. I don't know what the effects/impacts if any? I know in most cases, stop enbrel 10 days before and after surgery. I will be taking enbrel again on 29th as it will be 10 days after surgery. I haven't let my rheumy know yet.....
Just wondering..

Well hello there, stranger! I hope you've been doing well overall, despite your gall bladder surgery. I think what they worry about is infection when it comes to surgery. Since the surgeon wasn't concerned, and you aren't having evidence of infection, you're probably all right to go with your next injection. Definitely tell your rheumy about the surgery and also, that you have been recovering well with no infections. I hope you continue healing and recovering well, Cher. Warm hugs,
Kat

Hey Cher
Kat is right, the reason that they want you to stop Enbrel is to allow your immune system to build back up to fight off infections and help the healing process.
I'm glad to hear that you are recovering.

Hi there Cherkibbs, haven't seen you here in a while. So glad you are doing okay. As Kat says if you surgeon isn't concerned, you should be just fine. It's good you told him, they probably gave you IV antibiotics to cover that. You should alert you Rheumy to let him know. Cindy
