Hi,
I need to use the shopping cart to help me walk longer distances in the stores, BUT I keep running over the ankles of the unsuspecting people in front of me because I can't see too far ahead of me. (my head faces the ground).

So if you ever get run over by a shopping cart at the store, that could be me behind you. laugh2

Edit:
Seriously speaking... the not being able to see in front of me part really annoys me the most.

Take care,
James

Great question!

My #1 would be almost getting in fight (literally), stares, mouthing when I get out of my car in the handicapped spot WITH my placard AND a handicapped LICENSE PLATE that can clearly be seen, and they act like I don't deserve it, or how dare you use that when your not in a wheelchair or have a limb missing. How dare you walk with a limp and nothing else. Some have even acted like they are going to call the police and turn me in..lol I have literally had to say go ahead, BUT when they get here and you see they ARE for me I will be filing harrassment charges against you..that 100% stops them in their tracks. I guess they think they are going to scare me or something..lol so the ones that threaten I get their license numbers and then they realize they have made a HUGE mistake. It's really sad that it has come to that, but I'm not taking crap..from anyone since I pretty much feel like crap all the time anyway..lol

I hear ya Lisa, it is a shame that it's come to the way things are these days...I feel bad that you have to deal with such rudeness, I remember how I felt when someone told me that they were 'glad I could handle the long ride' to see my rheumatologist about 4 hours away because they certainly couldn't (comparing their pain to mine, although this is supposed to be a safe place), it really hurt my feelings and upset me...it's so childish and uncalled for...people like that just have no idea what we go through...the truth is, they probably couldn't handle what we have to deal with...

Simply that I can't remember what it feels like to be pain free.
