I have had my share of hair disasters and for the sake of my sanity I now turn myself over to the pros when it comes to coloring it. The old do was light brown with foiled blond streaks, which if I did that at home I'd probably end up looking like a skunk - - BBJ's famous road kill. And to switch to a red shade, no way I would do that, if it came out a mess I'd rather have someone to blame for it - - and to fix it

I usually have a professional take care of my hair too. In fact I need to go very soon to keep my natural blonde look, look natural. My hair tends to grow fast, especially my bangs so I trim them every so often, so I can see. I am not very good with scissors and one time while I was trying to trim my bangs I somehow hacked them up and ended up with bangs that stuck straight out and were layered. I tried to use a curling iron but they were too short. When I went to see my stylist he took one look at my bangs and asked "what did you do?". After a lecture he told me NEVER to try to trim my bangs again. I still do trim them but just a teeny weeny bit.

Take care and hugggggs,

Lisa

My hairdresser taught me a neat trick for trimming bangs in between pro cuts. You take all your bangs (well, you know what I mean) and twist the hair down towards your nose tightly, and then just snip like a quarter inch to a half inch off the bottom. Let go of the hair and they should be relatively even.

When my daughter was four she trimmed my bangs while I was napping on the couch. I did eventually forgive her.

That is exactly how my stylist explained the "proper way" to trim bangs. Of course he decided to share this info with me after the hacking had taken place.

Take care and hugggggs,

Lisa

....that is hysterical Cheryl.....you just triggered a memory for me....when my little Rebecca was about 3 she took a pair of scissors and cut her bangs all the way up to her head.....she walked in the room and said, "mommy...don't I look pretty?"......I screamed!
