Did your Costco walnuts have any of that nut skin stuff sticking to them? If not, then that explains why they pass the iodine test, and you've given me a great tip on where to buy walnuts smile

The Larabars are portable too. Very simple ingredients like fruit and nuts mashed together in interesting combos, and yummy. I bought some from Walmart. They are everywhere.

I have to eat very little sugars so I eat only 1/2 bar at a time, but if you can eat raisins these should work.

According to carb calculations based on the nutrition labels, Larabars are low-starch rather than starch-free (1 to 5 grams/bar, depending on flavor), so it's just as well you're sticking to smaller servings

You could try making these with the stuff that you know you can tolerate...

They look like a great idea!
Bet my kids would love to help me make them... and eat them... hang on a minute... maybe I'll make them on my own with the kitchen door firmly shut!!
Thanks for re-posting, hon - missed that thread the first time around.
