If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I absolutely have a (mini)flare right before my girl thing. For a while I just thought it was bad luck. Its happened so many times now, I'm sure of it. I think inflammation is higher at that time anyway, because of how certain things that come in pairs get swollen, hot and painful. That's inflammation. This last month I even had swollen lymph glands in my neck. (Sorry if this is offensive, guys. When are we moving this discussion to the women's forum?)

i do get mine at the local pharmacy, it costs a bit more, but i like the convenience of it. like my rheumy's office / nurse's station is terribly slow in renewing prescriptions. the first time it took two phone calls from me and two faxes from the pharmacy for it to get filled, but thankfully i was prepared and started the process a week in advance. but the last time, the doc made me pick up the prescription, getting confused and thinking it was a controlled substance (maybe because it works on the opiate receptors like the narcotics do? really not sure in his confusion), and then their office closes early friday and i didn't know it, and i was going to be without the LDN but the pharmacy went ahead and filled the script before they even had it in hand just knowing from my word that it was coming, then on the day i dropped off the script, they had the med waiting for me already. not sure i could get that kind of service through the mail. that's really the main reason i do it local. plus i know i can trust this pharmacy, though i'm sure there are one's that you can get it from mailorder equaly reliable. but even if you don't go with the local pharmacy, they could still point you to a local doctor. good luck! good about the wimmen's forum, its a fun place.....but don't tell the boys that!

I do think it all has to do with it, for some bizarre reason seems like I have all 3 at the same time...that time, flare time, and sick time..like maybe my immune system is at it's weakest??? I don't know what do you GIRLS think?

Yep. I usually have a full-fledged flare during this time. No way to avoid it (even cramming extra ginger, turmeric, nettle, and anti-inflammatories). There's something that just increasing the inflammation of the body. If I find a way out of it, I'll report my progress.

Hey Sunny, a fair number of us have had the same thing. Our pain gets worse just before and often during our periods. I talked it over with my chiro one day and she felt it makes sense, because our hormones become hyper-active and our systems become hyper-sensitive. When you think about it, every woman experiences PMS to some degree or other, some have cramps and physical discomfort, others have more emotional discomfort. Our reactions are heightened. When you have AS, it makes sense that our normal pain reactions would also be heightened.
Hugs,
Kat
