Okay...Kat, I just wanted to update you, Brian is on his way to catch his flight, Dad spoke with BP, gave them his perspective of the situation and how they might possibly get it under control, he never ceases to amaze me with his brilliance...and I'm off to take a very important nap...that's my contribution for the day...for I am not brilliant... smile

It makes me so mad that some bureaucratic bean counter let this all happen because they let the well be drilled without the required Shut off Valves. This could have all been prevented if they had followed all the safety regulations.

That same bean counter also decided that it would cost too much of their profits to dig the appropriate relief wells prior to this disaster going on line. Cry me a river, eh.

Warm hugs,

Kat

OK, it's very very very early days, but I just got the word that I could tell you:

BP has put 'our' (I say that even tho I don't own it, and am not even recognized as being a part of it) company on its approved Suppliers List for the clean-up!

AND!!!!

Everything worked out with what we were working on with Michelle and her people!!! I know, Michelle, you said it would, but as I said to you the other night, my mother always taught me not to count my chickens before they're hatched. Or in theatre parlance: It ain't over 'til the fat lady sings!

I cannot tell you how excited I am. Most especially that working together, a bunch of Spondies got together and worked miracles. I think they'll be replacing the booms with ropes of HE and I think I'm gonna bust!!

OK. Back to work.

As I said, it's early days, but what a hell of a lot of amazing early days it is!

Thank you, my dear friend, Michelle, for everything you've done. And please give your dad a very gentle hug from Brian and me.

Warm hugs,

Kat

WONDERFUL NEWS KAT!! clap clap clap

That is fantastic!! I'm so happy for you and everyone involved with your project, and very happy for the people effected by this spill, that they can now have access to the "HE" for clean up...

Just look what happens when a couple of Spondies put their heads together!! What Next?? World Domination!! 1cup

"What are we going to do tonight, Brain."

"The same thing we do every night, Pinkie. Come up with a way to take over world."

Thanks, Chris. smile As I said, it's early days. There are details to be worked out. But we're hoping to get it into the field ASAP. The oil has hit shore in Mississippi and Alabama, and is 11 miles off Pensicola, Florida. For my sweetie and me, our main focus is and will continue to be to help the people of Louisiana as much as possible. We were already moved, but having met and talked to even the few we've met, they've touched our hearts as well. But if HE can mitigate the damage to Mississippi, Alabama and Florida, that will be icing on the cake.

Warm hugs,

Kat
