If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Just want to wish you all the best with the shots, I pray they help you. I have not been game enough to try the SSZ and I know my rheumy wont be happy that I havent started it.
As for vit D luckily for me that is not a problem (as yet) but between nippers and lifesaving I get so much sun its not funny. However I am wondering how I will be affected now that I can no longer do the lifesaving. Even hubby will tell you I am much better both physicaly and mentaly after a day in the sun. Low D seems to be very common here.
Anyway best of luck with it all. Take care
Trish xx

Hello Spark,
I never slept well while on sulfasalazine or azulfadine (same med... enteric coated). When I came off the med, I was surprised... I could get a deeper sleep (unless of course in pain).
You should look azulfadine... more effective than the generic sulfa. Also I believe there are recommendations to supplement with B complex when on either of these drugs and to have regular blood work done.

Felicity, welcome to the club! Not sure that congratulations are in order, however. Warm hugs,

Hi Felicity...I'm so glad that you posted this, although I'm sorry about your Dx...this is the perfect example of the diagnostic criteria a doctor needs to make this diagnosis and tell how advanced the disease is and a base to use in charting the progression of the disease, your doc deserves a pat on the back...undeniable evidence, undeniable diagnosis...
I have had the SI Joint injections, the last one about 10 years ago, it helped for a little while but was not fun during the procedure, I had Dye injections early on, the ortho wanted to see if the dye would leak out of the SI Joint and it did, no problems with Low Vit. D for me though...

I would like to see Felicity's entire story put somewhere here on KA, perhaps for the "newbies" or for those that are unfamiliar with the diagnostic procedure of AS...I think it's a textbook case and can serve to help others understand this disease and it's progression better...

Bless your cotton socks, dear Tim - you actually warned me about the enteric, 2 years ago, and I made sure at the time that mine were EN. My doctor was on to it anyway, but she has never mentioned B complex. And it never occurred to me that the SSZ might be keeping me awake, so now I will need to investigate....
I bet Matteo will be starting to speak soon...?

Thanks Michelle I do feel lucky to have such a good doctor. As for MY STORY, I feel a bit shy about it. You know it took me 6 months of lurking to join KA, and another year to start signing off with my real name. And in the 2 years I have been here, I haven't made a whole heap of posts (Sue22, I need some mentoring!). But now that my DX is official, I think I will go ahead and put up a photo of my face! I realise I belong here.
I am thinking of you Michelle and the awful situation in the Gulf. I visited Louisiana in 1998 and I absolutely adored the place! My love and hope for you and your communities Felicity
