If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

so this morning I got up to sunny skies and a pretty horse and the baby and hubby were asleep and I saddled up and took off. then got hit by a storm out of nowhere . . . rain, hail and lightning. Horse did awesome. She was perfect. I got soaked. Watched my house get hit by lightning. I do not recommend this for weekend entertainment. I convinced myself I'd seen it wrong until I came inside and my hair stood up. Cody, with his bad heart and blood pressure, seizures and anxiety, wasn't feeling so great, needless to say. Bailey, bless her, SOMEHOW slept through it! I checked her breathing, I was afraid it had killed her. Nothing burned, no one was injured, but Cody and I are both very shaken by it (the dog almost left home over it, poor guy) and now my rainy horseback riding (when I was already flaring, but I HAD to ride, or I was gonna die of shame) has me in so much pain it started to panic me in bed (you know scary pain, like childbirth?) so I had to get up and talk to my KAers or I was gonna end up hysterical. I already took my LDN so I can't take a perc or have a drink . . . I'm trying not to puke. yay 3:30 a.m. today was eventful, you could say. My best gal brought me some new books to read, maybe I'll just get in the recliner and read . . . take my head out of my body for the rest of the night. it's a bad place to be right now. And the neighbor's effing peacock won't shut the heck up. I have some fantasies about that bird . . . and my roasting pan, and some new potatoes, and some garlic . . . I canNOT believe I didn't get bucked off today. My horse is awesome. How many horses don't spook when lightning strikes a hundred yards away? While they're getting pelted by hail, no less. She is a saint! and the lightning just kept coming, for HOURS . . . the neighbor's fence got hit twice, and one of our trees once . . . like we ticked Someone off or something. I've never ever been afraid of a thunderstorm before (except for flash floods) but I was afraid today. and thank goodness it didn't kill our computer!! but we have a water leak now that we didn't have before . . . (Cody failed to tell me this, and he just shut off the water, and I was quite puzzled for a while) lol hugs to all my 3:48am-there-for-me-when-I-hurt-so-bad-I'm-crying friends Bridge

Hey Bridge, Sorry to hear that your having so much pain. I saw Cody's scribblings on FB so I figured you'd be a train wreck after that experience..I know I would be. Hang in there Bridge! Must be something in the air for ASer's this weekend. I didn't have a storm but I just had to get out of the house, so I went to see my buds at the racetrack last night. So I understand "stupid" this morning.. I hope that you get some relief real soon. Glad that you have such a level headed horse!
Keep Kickin'AS Chris

wow, Bridget! That's quite the story. I'm SO glad nothing too serious came from the lightening strike. I hate that everything is such a struggle for you right now. You definitely need a break.

That is one awesome horse. I'm glad everyone is OK.
We had a really big thunderstorm last Thursday night. The lightning was coming quite close, but not as close as yours. My girls got caught in the downpour on the way home from dance class and I was really worried. We rarely get thunderstorms like that here in CA.

Hi Bridge, That was a great story, sorry that it was not fiction. I am amazed once again at how easy it is to relate with the different people that are writing here. It must be in the air to get out and do something. Yesterday my wife and I went 180 miles round trip to an estate sale and lunch and later that day I rode the riding lawnmower for a few hours and now I am suffering. That is one thing that sucks about AS. You are always in some kind of pain or discomfort and when you do average stuff it just elvates that to unbearable levels. I have moved from computer ,to my chair, to outside, back in ect..but I can find no comfort. I try and accept the pain and weakness but sometimes it gets larger than the ability to accept. It is nice to be able to relate to others and say "hey, I am sorry you are hurting, I understand, I am hurting too." I am greatful for all of the courage to be honest about personal, private matters. thanks, alan

oooohhhhhhhhhhhh I hurt today . . . . . must admit I'm not surprised! lol. I was expecting this even if all I did was ride in the sunshine, but in a downpour, plus a ton of stress, whooo! oh lordy. my intentions today include my porch swing or a lawn recliner, and my beads or a book. and whatever yummy food I want heehee (too bad we don't have peacock in the freezer . . .) *hugses* Bridge oh I sent in new pics last night so there'll be updated Bailey pictures on my sig soon!

Good grief, Bridge, excuse the pun but what a hair raising experience! I'm so glad you are all OK. Poor you and Cody, already feeling so miserble and now feeling worse.
I totally get your desire to ride your horse and I'm really glad that she was so stellar out there. Sounds to me like she deserves a medal or something, but knowing you, you've already taken care of that in her favourite way.
Warm hugs,
Kat
