I have never had enema performed, but when I lived in Phoenix I had regular colonics done. Maybe once/month for half a year.
Was a big hurdle mentally to overcome... but well worth it. You feel like a new person afterwards. Was another reason that solidified my believe my AS symptoms are liked to intestines. If I was in full flare, I would have one performed and afterwards pain was back to a 1 or 2 at most.
For several weeks afterwards, even if I cheated some on diet, did not flare as much afterwards.
I would have probiotic influsions done with the ones I had performed.
If you do look into this option, need to find someone that really knows what they are doing.
