If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I hate cold weather. I hurt all over all the time. The Summer is not quite as bad but the warmth feels good. We are just starting to get warmer weather and I can't wait.

I wonder why weather and temperatures affect us all so differently?
I am definitely better in summer - I think I tense up and hunch over more when it's cold. I hate being cold, I like to feel the warm sunshine on my back.

I am most definitely better in summer. When I am in a lot of pain and realy grumpy, hubby says for gods sake go out in the sun. The hotter it is the better I feel but like many others here I feel the rain coming. It will be a hot sunny day with not a cloud in the sky and all of a sudden the pain will be intense and I know a summer storm is coming. Winter grrr. Realy dislike winter. I feel the cold and everything seems to ache. It is like having a realy bad flu all winter long. Winter is coming now and already I am starting to feel the cold, but luckily the pain hasn't flared yet. (touch wood)

We'll be starting summer here, soon, Trish - come on over!
Had the Webber out for Easter dinner with 2 chickens on it... truth be told it rained and we had enormous hail stones!! heeheehee - perhaps we may have been a little optimistic this early in the year - BBQ will certainly be getting some regular action soon though!
It's warmer out than in at the moment. Can't wait to start some serious swimming (and lounging!!!)lol
Your "growling" makes me laugh! I keep doing it now too! Grrr!!

With me, it was my wife who informed me of the relationship between AS and the weather. I rejected it initially as an old wives tale. Then one day last month or so, I was out walking my dog during an unseasonably cold night. I could feel the pain increase from the cold air (living by the ocean makes the air wet all of the time). If this is an "old wives tale" then I guess that makes me an Old Wife.
Here in Canada, it is considered quite common for elderly people to move to hot, dry climates in their retirement years. Phoenix is a popular attraction for this reason. I hadn't heard about heat causing arthritis pain to increase before but I suppose it shouldn't surprise me. On the Wet Coast of Canada, excessive heat is not a problem I have to deal with very often.
Getting a pool to lounge in all summer long sounds like a great idea if you have the means. I could imagine getting used to that.
Good luck Jeff, I hope you find a way to "beat the heat" this summer.
Chris

Hi there, I'm one of those who thrives in the warm weather, but as the temps. go down it can be awful.
Rain, well, if it's warm it's way better than if it's cold. I hate winter for that. The cold damp air gets into my bones and they ache from the inside out.
The warm moist heat relaxes me almost immediately.
Hugs,
Kat

Hi Jay, I'm curious as to why your doctor told you not to swim in winter. Surely, a warm water pool would be good for you; although, if it's an outdoor pool... I can understand.
Hugs,
Kat

We live near I-5 in N. CA. We were going up to visit relatives just yesterday and we noticed a lot of the "snow birds" going back north. There were a lot of RV's, trailers and moterhomes. The roadside rest was almost full of them. Every spring we see them going north and every autumn we see them going south. There are huge RV campgrounds in the desert set up for them. They get their mail there and they even have internet set-ups. It's like a small town.
I sometimes wish I was one of them. I just can't give up my home. Donna
Donna Cherish your yesterdays, Dream your tomorrows, But live your todays. Do the very best you can leave the rest to God. God Bless,
