If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

ive noticed with my AS that as the temperature rises the more the pain gets worse.i know that rain will bring a lot of pain and i know when it will rain without having to watch the weather reports. last summer was excruciating but the winter months also was painful but not as near as much when it was warm.now with the temps climbing so is my pain level and with my place of work temps well over 100+ degrees in the summertime im worried that im in for another long summer. Hi Jeff, we are just heading into autumn/fall in Australia and both my daughter and I had a terrible time with our AS. We stayed inside in aircon..but air pressure changes still cause great discomfort and pain. We used heat packs, tramadol , oxycodone and did alot of swimming. We just tried our best to stay as comfortable as possible. We too know when a cool change is coming before the forecast. We imagine moving to a place that is the same temp all year round!!
Cheers Tulip

Rain bothers me more than anything. Summer bothers me because of my Lupus. I guess I can find something to complain about any time of the year. :o)

Hey Jeff,
When I first read your post, I nodded my head in agreement, but I thought you would be talking about your body temp. When I get sick and my temp goes up, so does the pain.
My Lovely Wife tells me that I get grumpier in the hot rainy weather, and walk less because it hurts. I'd have to agree with her. I think low pressure has something to do with it cause I hurt more when I'm flying too.
My advice, Jeff, is find a cool pool and hang out there.
Dean

I think Dean is right about low pressure affecting our AS. Here in CA, we have highs all summer long, I feel so much better in the warm weather. I get up early in the morning and go our and work in my garden. In the fall my AS gets worse and has been flaring all through winter. The fog, rain and cold make everything hurt. All winter long we have had lows, one after another. This has been an El Nina year, it is warmer but wetter. I can hardly wait for better weather in the hope that I will feel better. Donna

On the contrary, i feel fine in Summers. Now with winter approaching (southern hemisphere) I can feel my pain increasing. So for me winters are really painful.
I like to keep my back warm thru winters to help, ease pain.

Hi there! Winters bring on a lot of stiffness for me. Lumbar pain. But the Texas humidity is what brings me the worst flares ever. The baromatic pressure changes is what kills this bug. My family doc said it effected arthritic patients alot. My thoracic wont let up and my ribs when the humidity rises or rain nearby...during that time, only stretching, staying indoors, norco 1/2tabs and my good friend Mr.Biofreeze spray help ease the pain! This past winter was a tough one for us here in Texas. We rarely get more than a few cold days. My knees and hands suffered from it the most and my lower back. Take care! Buggy
