If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Oh James, I am so full of hope that this will work wonderfully for you! Since you did really well on Remicade, I think this has a very good chance of helping. Having the med work it's way so slowly into your system could make all the difference! And I'm so happy to hear that you are now under the care of a good rheumy that already knows some of your history and sounds genuinely caring. Yay! I will be thinking good thoughts for you! mig

Hiya, James I can understand why you're nervous, but, as you said, you will be in the hospital for your first injection, which should put your mind at ease. I pray it works for you, and doesn't affect your heart this time. Don't worry about the injections - if the blasted thing works, you'll be more than happy to jab yourself. Sending you big hugs, and positive thoughts.

Remicade started wearing off faster and faster. My December 8 infusion had noticeably worn off by the end of December and by my next infusion (January 26) I was in really bad shape. Curled up at my desk the day before, trying to type in the foetal position. Not good.
So, I saw my rheumy while I was in for that infusion and we decided that it's wearing off way too quickly. Because of work pressure, upping the frequency isn't an option (although my boss was shocked when I told her that). So, my rheumy suggested Enbrel, Humira or Simponi. I'm going with Enbrel because of the three, it's the one we know most about. We've only really started hearing good things about Humira around here in the last year or so (that I've seen anyway) and I'm a little leary of Simponi, since it's only been approved for a year. Want to see what longterm results are with it.
Warm hugs,
Kat

Hi Sue, and thanks. I'm looking forward to knowing if I can handle it or not. Take care, James

Hi Chris, That's what I was wondering. If it is sharp then why would they jab it in? It must me for the new enbrel users recommending them to "just get it over with". I like to take my time with those things, and make sure I don't hit a vein or something. Take care, James

Hi Gerri, Good luck with the brain scan, and I hope that you don't have MS so you can get biologics. Technically, she is my old rheumy, but yeah, she's wanting to dive right in and start treating. Take care, James

Hi Kat, From what I heard, the syringe is supposed to be prefilled, just like the pen, I guess. I don't even know what dosage I will be starting on because I didn't know there was more than one. I find all that out on Monday. I got the kit already from my doctor's office, and Enbrel is supposed to arrive tomorrow. I can't take it until Monday though. Are we supposed to throw away the red container full of used needles in our regular trash? Do we get a new container every month? I don't even know that yet. hmm, I have lots of questions to ask. Thanks for wishing me luck, and I hope the Enbrel does the trick for you. Take care, James
