Not sure how legit these claims are on this site (some of it sounds dodgy), but thought that the "common sense" approach of reversing cervical dysplasia with proper nutrition and supplements was interesting:

Actually, Pertussis (whooping cough) is a bacterium, which I didn't know before we contracted it. Once it was verified, the whole family was put on antibiotics. Fortunately only an 11yo and my 5yo got it. It was difficult seeing my younger daughter wake up out of her sleep, coughing, not able to take a breath. I can only imagine how it was watching a baby have it.

LOL, that is hilarious!

I've been thinking about a sword...but a shotgun! That's the ticket. It would stay on the wall in my den (I wish I had a den) and I'd sit the young man down for a terribly reasonable chat and give him a little extra spending money for the date - if I liked him.

Now I have to ask my wife if I can buy a shotgun...hmmm

Hey Chris!

My husband has also talked about building a big tall tower to put them all in... sure that's been done before... wasn't there a flaw in the plan... something about long hair? (which my eldest has already - the other two are working on it!!) Actually, my middle daughter said she wanted to be repunzel, be careful what you wish for!!! lol

Chris, hang on a minute, sit boy down in room with gun... have reasonable chat... extra spending money...

That could translate as Scare Tactics... Threat... Bribery!!!!

I'd say very common father protecting daughter behaviour!!!

Good luck with that! lol

The classic stereotypical Dad over here is sitting on the front verandah, in a rocking chair, with his shotgun across his lap.

There is a great scene from an Aussie movie called "The Big Steal" where the poor young working class boy goes to the extremely posh house of his new girlfriend. The Dad has the build of a bricklayer but is extremely polite and nice as the daughter introduces him.

The daughter then pops upstairs for a jacket and instantly the Dad's demeanour changes for the worst. He grabs (from memory - maybe he doesn't?) the boys lapels and then says "Right, have her back by 11, and whatever you do don't touch her breasts".

As the daughter reappears, the Dad is all smiles and kindness as he dusts the boy down.

Classic.

Holy Moly Megan. Phew. What a turn-up... Thanks for that post.

Knew there were HUGE problems with what the farmers were giving to cattle and to their poultry, world-wide - that is why I refuse to eat chicken, NOT unless it is bio (VERY difficult/rare to find in France!) AND I refuse to eat French beef (contaminated with all the crap the farmers give to their cattle and you *cannot be sure of grass-fed, IF you could find it. I'm still searching!)

Am saving that info into a file. Very interesting.

The first time I took my wife on a date I met her mother. I knocked on the door and her mom answered, I did know her dad, he was very polite and well mannered. Gladys(her mom) called upstairs and said I was there. Her mom was preparing a roast, she was using a knife about 12 inches long. She said you know I love my daughters, before I could reply she turned and put the knife to my throat and said if you mess around and get my daughter pregnant I will cut your Ba### off. She then went back to fixing dinner like nothing happened. That was a pretty effective vaccine, Jayme and dated for four years then married, my son was born three years later.
Never underestimate the power of mom.

Oh my goodness!!!!! That's unbelieveable!
So maybe I should be the one stepping up here, not my husband...
Only one problem... you have no idea how lethal I am with knives (or even blunt instruments for that matter!!!)lol
I could end up slipping and carrying out the the threat as soon as I made it!!! laugh2
Thanks for sharing your great story!
