If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi Everyone,
I seem to be a little lost when it comes to email notifications on this newest KA forum. It appears to me that the only time I can request to receive an email notification for my topic, is only if I remember to select that option first, before I submit my post. Is there a second way to achieve this, I mean after the post has already been submitted?
Anyways lol , that brings me to option 2:
In "My Stuff", I see a way to watch any forum I choose. I also see a way to watch any user I choose. But I don't see a way to add another topic to the watched topics list. Is it okay for us regular users to watch an entire forum?
oops, I nearly forgot again to "Add this topic to my Watched Topics." lol.
Thanks, James.

HLA-B27+, JRA diagnosis in 1981, re-diagnosed as AS in 1988. Also iritis, colitis, and psoriasis. NSD + low carb helps me. My health makes it hard for me to post in a timely way.

Hi James,
I think you should be able to do everything you are asking about. First, if you haven't found it, you need to turn email notifications 'on'.
1. Go to My Stuff > Edit Preferences > Look for the line "By default should anything added to your Watch Lists be emailed to you?" and click the radio button to 'Yes' > Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the all-important 'Submit'.
You should be able to add topics to your watched list - at any time, too.
2. Go to the forum and find the thread you are interested in watching > Click on the title to open the thread > Find the small menu called Topic Options (located up above the 1st post on every thread, just above the avatar pic and subject line). > Open Topic Options > and click 'Add Topic to your Watched Topics'.
Once you've added topics, you can manage the list by going to
> My Stuff > Watch Lists > click the heading across the top bar, 'Watched Topics' > Edit your list using the underlined link 'Edit Watched Topics' below headings on the right. > Tick left side box to Remove individual topics > Click Update Watched Topics!
And sure - if you want to 'watch' an entire forum, go for it James! :-)
I really hope these instructions are clear enough to help make sense of it for you James. Let me know if this has helped, otherwise I will try to reword this, after I've had my morning coffee! lol
Hugs! mig

Hi Mig
Ohhhhh lol. I found it now. I knew it had to be something silly on my part. Thanks for the help.
What happened was the "Topic Options" box in each forum topic is greyed out causing me to think that it was an inaccessible link. I probably would have found it right away if that link was blue lol.
It's all working now, thanks. Take care, James

Oh that's great James, I was worried that my description might not make sense. I'm so glad that you found it and have it working now!
It's funny, but there seem to be so many little things that are just sooo easy to miss seeing, until someone else points them out.
Someday, we are all going to be pros on this version, and as soon as that happens, it'll be time for an upgrade...lol
Take care! mig

Hi Alinus,
Yes, there is. When you create a new topic post, right underneath the box where you compose your message, you should find Post Options and a little box to tick, marked - 'Add this topic to my Watched Topics'. If you make sure to tick that box before you click the Submit button, it should automatically be added to your Watched Topics list.
I hope this makes sense! mig
