No. Really. Laugh. All you want! It was pretty funny!

What is it, by the way, when your ischeal tuberosity hurts to high heaven and feels like there's a lump there. Then you push it and it moves away. Surely that lump can't be a muscle. It must be some kind of rock that grew there, don't you think?

It feels good to be able to laugh at this. Never used to be able to. God, I love this place!

Warm hugs,

Kat

Glad I made you laugh.

Sorry that I haven't peeked in much lately.

I haven't read all the replies here so a lot of this might be redundant. the most unmanageable my life ever got from AS was a two year period when I was going through brutal neck spasms with pain that radiated up the back of my neck so sharply into the back of my skull that it fell like darts were shooting in that spot into my eyes from behind.

I could not raise my head of the bed without agony after sleeping because the tightening of my neck muscles to lift my head would throw my neck into a clenching spasm.

It sounds like your pain is similar or cause dby the same areas being affected.

Acupunctue helped beyond belief. It took a very good acupuncutist and it took a series of four or five visits over two to three weeks but nothing else made the pains abate and gave me my life back like that. I alsp bought a portable traction kit to ever so gently stretch my neck out on my own.

Finally because I never want to revisit that sort of pain I now get a massage of just my neck and upper back once every two weeks to keep away from getting near those types of spasms.

My wife, the ever lovely Diane, bought me a very kewl high powered portable tens kit.

Used together I have lots of tightness but not many returns to that raging pain

Hope so very much that you are feeling some relief. I don't want anyone here going throught that sort of pain. It hurt to do everything and it actually made focusing my attention on anything else difficult.

steve,

thank you so much

i am actually, finally getting some relief i think, but it does seem to go back and forth so don't want to say too much just yet. still i'm taking the better days as i get them.

a few people said acupuncture so i'm looking them up and deciding on who to go to.

and i did get a script for a home TENS unit and PT is supposed to give me one soon.

i know what you mean about promising oneself never to revisit certain pain if it can be avoided at any cost, its been many years now since its been like this but at least this time i know more ways to climb back out a little faster. and i have this wonderful support team known as kickAS this time.

thanks again
