I am very sad to hear of your mother's health. I lost my mother when I was young. No one knows what it is like until they are in that position. People try to make you feel better by saying something like "I know what you are going through I lost my grandfather last year". Thanks but you have no idea. Losing someone in your immediate family that you are close to is indescribable. I'm sorry.

Oh Michelle, I am so so sorry to hear that your Mum is in such grave condition. Hang in there, sweetie, it is amazing what people can recover from and you just never know, she may be able to pull through all of this.

If you want to go to her bedside Michelle, then go. I was at my Mom's beside everyday in ICU and then for nearly 3 months altogether, while on Remicade... sometimes I had to wear a mask and gloves and other times not, but I was fine. I was conscious of the risks and did think about it; I was very careful in using the hand sanitizer at the door to her room, every single time I went in and out. At one point she had C-Diff and before she was given a private room, the person next to her had some scary airborne infection but if you are mindful and careful, you can protect yourself. I realise you are on 2 different immuno suppressants however, and I am sure Possi is quite right that your Mom wouldn't want you putting yourself at risk. If your Mom will be aware of your presence.....

My love to you Michelle

Oh Michelle Sweetheart!

I am so, so sorry!

You are right you are never ready for this. Are you going to get to go be with her?

Please keep us updated if you can.

Hugs and Prayers,

Lisa

Michelle
I know that words can't help much at this time. Just know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
