If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi all, I am back on my feet. My surgery was a sucess and I am spending most of my day without the boot and walking on my own. The PT is impressed with my recovery.. So what is so frustrating? Well..It is great to have the achillies fixed.. but the rest of my body is just not feeling good.. everything hurts.. I am back on the Enbrel and taking the NSAIDS.. I am very stiff, sore and a trip to the grocery store will kill me for the rest of the day.. Or any type of walking or cleaning for a period of time. my endurance sucks! and then I pay.. I was so looking froward to getting up and out and getting busy but here I am with this stupid AS giving me hell.. It has been cold and rainy in Chicago.. I do believe that it plays a roll in how I feel. I see the Rhumey tomorrow.. I am guessing he is going to add Methotrexate to the mix.. At this point I am willing and ready.. I just want to be normal..
Peace, Tamara

Tamara, we AS'ers are'nt normal, we are especially and beautifully unique, the pain is the small price we pay for being the chosen ones. Remember that Sinatra bloke? (think it was Hank!)A line from the song, 'Chicago a helluva town', well see, you have another bonus; living in fab Chicago and poor me in rainy England.
There is so much going for you, today is a great day, get out there in the sun. a glass of wine, a cheese sandwich; enjoy it more than any other day ever so far . dont let AS win

Tamara,
I do bleieve that you hold part of the answer to your health. You are suddenly doing more and wlaking more normal.... So the monster raises His/ her head. As you become active again, i think you will get to feeling better. Metho. did nothing for me. But if it works for you, great. You are in my thoguths and prayers. I pray that you will have a complete recovery.
It is not fair, but you can do this and you will be stronger for it later! But please know we understand the frustration and anger.
agape,
Lon
PS My dear you are far from normal!!!
I keep the New Covenant, when I fail....I am pulled back into place by HIM.

yes, it can all be very frustrating, and i know how you feel. everything shouldn't have to feel like a big production. wouldn't it be great to be able to do something as seemingly simple as go grocery shopping without any repercussions? hopefully you and the rheumy will find something to make you feel a bit better again.

Oh Sue I missed you.. I have been away from this site for too long.. I have been working on getting better and getting Tay on the road.. She will be starting the new Biologic Simponi after she gets her wisdom teeth extracted this Sat.. She will have to wait to start the treatment for 7 to 10 days after of course.. PT appt.s and Mom just left for home in CA so I am on my own.. I should not stay away so long it looks like there are more new memebers I have not met yet..
Peace, Tamara

Sorry to hear of your problems. I have achilles tendonitis as well. Not to your level. My dress shoes and achilles didn't get along for awhile. LOL! I use the heel liners and that helps. All the best!
