Hi Karen, How frustrating for you and your family to have your husband lose his job, not because of the economy, but as a result of stupid workplace politics. Thank goodness you have a year to look around and make good decisions. Let's hope something good comes along and turns a misfortune into an exciting opportunity. The best of luck with it. I am sorry to hear this news. I tell ya it is stinking all over.. everytime I turn around there is news like this.. I myself was laid off last month. Hang in there, I am sure it will all work out for all of us and for the better. I will be thinking about you..

We haven't moved quite as much as you, Trudi, though we've lived in eight states in 25 years of marriage. It's not the move itself which is so bad; that's just a few messy weeks to deal with. What I hate is the aftermath. I'm sick to death of being the new kid in town and never want to go through it again.
