Hi again James,

I think you are very wise in your thought process. Forgive my terrible memory, I'd forgotten you need to have a tumor(s) removed, that would affect my thoughts on possible treatment options also.

We cross each bridge as we come to it, one at a time, and I hope it's a comfort knowing you have good doctors to consult with along the way, and this caring bunch of friends on KA too!

Take very good care, we are all pulling for you everyday!

Hi Mig,
I was thinking that since methotrexate is also chemotherapy drug, then it might be good for the benign Schwannoma exiting my upper thoracic spine. I'm not sure if all Dmards are also used for chemotherapy, so I will need to look into that. When and if I end up taking either methotrexate or remicade, I would prefer them to be low dose and only taken long enough to help the colitis (if that's the problem I'm having now), since my AS pains are low.

My docs can't agree on whether I have one tumor or two tumors butted together. I think it's only one from what I saw in my scans, but the doctors would know more about that than I do. It hasn't grown since the last time they scanned me, so my next scan will be in about 5 months. Removal is definite, but a date hasn't been set yet.
Take care,
James.

Hi James,
Sorry I can't say I know what you are going through. Because I don't have the same issues you are dealing with.
But I can say hang in there, things have to get better for you.

Keep the faith,
Your friend

Hi Sue,
I'm glad you like that little one liner.
I use that in some of my posts for two reasons... one because it's true because I do manage to get through things, and two it's my way of telling people "Don't worry, I'll be fine, I'm just having another rough patch." I'm glad you like it.

Music is awesome. It helps me alot, gives me energy, it's soothing, and keeps me occupied as well as entertained. It's very therapeutic for me too.

Take care,
James.
