well i just got back from the docs, no major damage luckily, but it seems when i fell i did some nerve damage in my elbow which has been causing my hand to go numb, i tore my rotator cuff again, and with my spine fusin the fall caused the muscle to get pinched and i sort of damage the muscles from my neck down to below my shoulder blades, she put me on flexiril 10mg twice daily and valium 10mg at bedtime to help relax my muscles enough to get some sleep, im gonna be gettin at home pt, and an adjustable bed(hospital)....since ive been doin well with out meds she figures i dont need them either with the exception of gettin my RLS to settle down...and the big part of the visit no wheelchair exccept for outside use only....i think it went well......oak

sorry to hear of your injuries! Definitely take it easy! It's really cool that you can have at home pt; I am sure it makes things much easier..although it sounds as if nothing is very easy right now for you.
I am originally from MN...from the northern area of Grand Rapids. That is where I grew up and where my family is from, after coming from Norway & Sweden just 3 generations ago. Where is Isanti?
Anyway, I just wanted to say hi and let you know I will keep you in my prayers for speedy healing.

Hi Oak,
To me that sounds like a really bad fall you had there. I'm glad you're ok now and going to be getting treated. In home PT sounds nice! I'm also glad to hear that you have been doing rather well without having to take the other meds. Have a speedy but gentle recovery.
take care,
James.

Hi Oak - your post sounds wonderful. Congradulations on the no meds, you must be so pleased. I am happy to hear you are going to get the pt and the bed should be heaven. Continued recovery and glad to hear it went so well...Sue!

heya az, i live about 45minutes south of grand rapids or maybe an hour away we go thru grandrapids to get to our camp site durin deer season...gettin injured in a fall is an occupational hazard here, even if i didnt have AS the risk of gettin injured is the same, with 3 grand kids, 2 dogs, and 6 cats, gettin tripped and knocked down is kinda normal...i try to be more carefull but it seems the more i try the more trips i get.....what can i do, i cant walk on egg shells all all the time....oak
