If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

With my notoriety I decided that I neeed the shades today. Do you know that Pergo floor on top of concrete is much harder than carpet on top of concrete? Well, take my word for it and you won't have to find out. I "only" thought I was in pain this a.m. Now I am in PAIN and I wouldn't have scored anything on this flip or the landing. The scream might have got me a vocal part in a horror movie. Scared my hubby to death. I tripped over a rug that no longer lives here and did at least a double flip and my bad hip now knows what a BAD hip is. One of these days I expect a hidden video somewhere in my kitchen. I know there are lots of you that would love to see my olympic events. The best one was backwards over the dishwasher door. Just sharing before I go get horizontal and don't get up for............??? days. Hugs and Blessings. Possi

Joyce, I so feel your pain. Every bone in my body is reacting from your fall.
You should make sure you haven't broken any bones. You should put some sponge flooring down, that might help when you fall.
Glad that rug is no longer there. I hate to hear that you are in the hospital the same time your dear hubby is having his surgery.
Please take care
Many loving hugs are going your way
Gerri

Joyce, I'm sorry to hear about this, but they way you told it, made me chuckle. I totally know what you mean about this Olympic events. I've been known to have a few myself. Hopefully that bad hip will be ok when you wake up this morning! Take care...and hope you aren't in too much pain.... Sarah

Gerri and Sara, thank you both. I am very sore today but then that is not a lot new. ) I have had such a crummy week with my Dystonia. Today I saw the Neurologist/Ophthomologist and got at least 20 injections around my eyes and some in my face. I quit counting. I usually count them out. Not this time. I am black and blue around my eyes. I have to get my open good befor surgery time. He used 100 units of Botox and I am STILL wrinkled. LOL Too bad the spasms aren't in the middle of wrinkles. I appreciate your support so much and hope you understand me answering both of you at once. ) Hugs and Blessings. Possi PS Sarah, through the years there have been several tales about my "olympic events". I can do some pretty major flips to not have broken anything yet except the dishwasher door. Flipped over it backward, doing a complete flip with a bowl of beets in my hands....beet juice all over the kitchen all the way over the breakfast room and not a beet left the bowl. LOL I did think I had done damage that time. I haven't done a flip since I was a cheerleader and that was quite a few years ago. LOL Sleep Tight

Oh Possi how in the world do you find such humor in such a horrible event. You made me laugh. You are such an inspiration for us all. If you can find hummor in what you are going through then we could all learn from you.
I am sad to hear that again you are faced with another obsticle. If anyone can get through it.. it is you. You have taught me a lot in just the few months I have been on kickas. You are a remarkable person.
Plese keep us posted on how you are doing. You are cared and loved by many on this board.
HUGE HUGS Kelly

If they had an Olympic sport for running into hurdles instead of jumping over them, we would make a great team! I currently have three large bruises from running into large, inanimate objects. Maybe we could work out together and make the team in four years.

Thanks Raquel, Today I am sore all over. I have reached that slow part of life where not only do you move slower but things move so slow that it takes me twice as long for my body to know it hurts. It takes me 2 - 3 days to get sore now. Maybe my brain is just slower to realize it. I am just sitting a lot today. I didn't sleep well last night. All of those injections kind of stress me. Today I have a shiner but from the dr., not from the fall. He did have a couple of good looking residents with him that took my mind off of it a little. Hope you have a great weekend Raquel. Hope you are feeling better. You are SUCH a great addition to this family. Hugs. Possi

Good idea Kath. If we could get them to approve a new event. You could run into one and I could flip over the next one and while I am getting back on my feet you would be up and running into the next one. Sounds like we would "Gold" sewed up. (Which would be good because we would probably need a lot of gold to replace a lot of broken things.) Hope you have a great holiday weekend. Thanks so much for your encouragement and smiles today. Hugs. Possi

Oh Possi, I am SO sorry to hear about your fall! It is rather amazing how much more a fall on anything other than carpet feels, you are right about that. Dang it, you already had enough going on as it was, this was the last thing you needed. Hearing that you tripped over a rug, I have to say I am very glad to learn that the rug is long gone now! This is a really valuable safety tip for other AS kickers: If you are having ANY kind of difficulty walking, please strongly consider at least temporarily removing all throw rugs you have in your home. They really are a serious danger point, as all it takes is one little wrinkle in the rug to cause you to trip. In fact, even if the rug is totally flat, sometimes all it takes is tripping over the edge of the rug as you step onto it or over it. When you aren't feeling good, especially when you're legs are hurting, quite often you don't even realize how little you are lifting your legs with each step, and when that's the case, even a rug can easily trip you up. Please folks, don't think I'm being overly cautious with this warning. As anyone who has had a hip replacement and gone through physical and occupational therapy knows, removing throw rugs is one of the standard pieces of advice they give you following surgery. I used to have a couple in my home, but after a near fall caused by each of them, they are gone. I do still have two small ones, but with one, there is no way I can possibly fall based on where it is, and as for the other, it's days might be numbered even though it serves a very important purpose. When I visit my mom's house, she has to pick up a few rugs when I get there because they have proven to be quite dangerous. And believe me, my mom has a real thing for rugs, so this does turn out to be a sacrifice for her! Brad

i agree with some of the others in regards to no matter how bad something is for you, you find a way of finding the humor in it. i'm not sure which sounds more painful, all those injections or that backflip over the dishwasher. brad made a comment about rugs. so what do you do if you trip over cracks in the sidewalk or the molding in the doorway i thought i was the only one that didn't pick up my feet sue PS and Possi, never worry if you don't have the time or strength to respond back to me personally. i know you would if you could.
