Before I was diagnosed with AS, I developed a strange case of pleurisy where I was rendered unable to swallow--even my own spittle. Good news I discovered that fasting can eliminate AS symptoms. Bad time spent in hospital getting rehydrated. May have had minor bouts since then, but nothing even close to that episode.
I am certain that both the propensity for this and pneumonia are related to AS or the AS mechanism.
