Give your doc a hug for me! Sounds like a keeper.
But it still sucks you have to go through all this. You have a great attitude though... hang in there.

That is totally me! I am a clutz beyond belief and well....it's not hard to have something liek that happen to me even without the shoulders getting worked on! Let's just say Grace is not my middle name!

He's definitely a keeper. I don't know what I'd do with him. He'll even smack me back into reality when I need it...He's a perfect match for me and my attitude.....He knows just how to handle me, which is a very good thing.
It definitely sucks, but I guess that's life with AS? I guess if nothing else with all this mess, my Doc will be able to put his grandkids through college! Or buy a nice vacation home.

You and I in a room together could be dangerous then. I walk into walls, counters, doorframes ... if it's permanently fixed to a structure, I walk into it - face first and eyes wide open even!

I think we need to bubble-wrap our world - or maybe just coat it in soft foam!

Hugs,

Kat

I walk into everything too. I walk into walls, doors, you name it, I've walked into it! I always have bruises and I'm like...hmmmm....where did I get that...or I wonder what I walked into!

And stairs...yikes. I fall down and up them quite frequently. Although I've been a lot better over the last 2 or 3 years. I think I've only had a few spills on 'em lately.

Bubble wrap would be awesome! Although I like stepping on it and popping it. That's always fun!

Once, I was leaning on a doorframe talking to an old boss of mine. I turned to leave ... right into the doorframe I'd just been leaning on!

Bubble-wrap really is fun isn't it. It's one of the best stress relievers - especially the little bitty ones - the bigger bubbles are harder to pop. The popping of bubble-wrap also has the added bonus of driving my sweetie and mother nuts! No wonder my sweetie has tacked the phrase 'scurrilous little s**t' on me at times (his other favourite is 'troublesome troglodyte'). I work hard to earn that name!!!

Hugs,

Kat

I want a doc like yours.....
I have matching scars on my knees...about 1.5 inches long on the outside of each knee.

That sounds like something I would do! Oh wait, I think I have! My boss just laughs at me. When I was on crutches in here after my last knee surgery, he was so nervous I was going to hurt myself so bad. He just knew me+crutches+work=a disaster. But, I managed to survive ok and not wreck anything!
Next time around should be interesting!

When I get the big bubbles of bubble wrap. I put it on the floor, sit in my rolly chair and roll over it. That's fun stuff! Or if I have heels on, I'll stomp it with the heels. I can find all sorts of ways to amuse myself with bubble wrap!

See, now I don't have a rolly chair to pop the big bubbles with. Hmmmm. May need to get one of those.

Oddly, I'm really steady on crutches. The last time I was on them, I almost put together an entire ab and upper back exercise routine based on crutching. I was going to call it 'Krutching with Kath'.

That said, for several years I was under strict orders from one of our directors to never injure myself again ... at least, not infront of him. He said he didn't think he could take it a second time.

Hugs,

Kat
