If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Scotty, Hang in there and don't be too hard on the wife, i believe it is difficult for anyone to even imagine the pain and fatigue that AS causes and unlike a sore throat does not just disappear when you are finished the pills the doc gave you. Fortunately that is why this site is here, and a lot of the people on this site have been to exactly the place you are now. Keep positive George

Scott
Being beat to a pulp by this disease a few time over and ending up like a 45 yer old pretzel I can tell you one thing. You can endure way more than you ever imagined and go on to good things.
You know that. Its just on the bleak pain filled, don't see a better tomorrow days you forget it. You didn't forsee the help Remicade would give you.
There'll be more help and family, spouses and other loved ones can get beat down too. It doesn't mean they are insensitive to our woes they are just frustrated by their inability to make anything better too.
I just ain't particularly that tough and if I can't wade my way through this crap so can you or pretty much anyone else.

Scotty, pray you'll get a referral very soon to a 'pain center' so that you'll have medical resources which deal ONLY with helping find the pain meds/treatment which helps you feel best.I'm praying for you. Russell

Scotty, Paxil is not at all helpful for pain management . They also did a huge study on Paxil and found the placebo worked as well. This study was publish about two months ago. My Pysc. doc told me about the study. I would really encourage you to talk to your doctor about trying a newer type of anti-depressent which also helps pain.
I completely understnad your concern with your sick-leave. I really struggled with that. I kept trying to go back to work and the last six months beofre I went on permanent disability was so stressful and I became so depressed. What ever you do don't quit your job or work part-time, that was the best advice my rheumy told me at the time. I kept thinking if I just work part-time I would be better, but glad I didn't. I recvie 60% of my nursing salary which is good, and then when I don't pay CPP deductions etc, it works out to 70% . I moved back to my hometown and I do fine with that amount of money per month.

hi scotty,
i'm new enough here that i don't think we've met, not much anyhow. sorry things are so tough lately. i know when i think i'm at my breaking point, things swing the other way eventually. for me, its just hanging in there long enough to see things through.
