If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Hi all, I was wondering do we have any pharmacists on site ? Wouldn't that be great to help us with are pharmaceutical questions. Have we ever asked outsider experts to join our group ?

Great idea - maybe we could invite someone - I would imagine we would just have to get them to agreee not to be in sales mode or promoting companies or meds? Brian

A pharmacist sounds like a great idea but I would doubt they would be able to give much advice in an open form like the one we have here. They may be able to offer suggestions by way of PMs instead of just answering post in general.

I believe pharmacists know more than drs about the different meds. I have two brothers that are pharmacists and I don't take anything without talking to them. When they are here, they always check out my meds to see what I am taking, dosage and whether they all work together. What a blessing. Possi

personally...
if i wanted to know about drugs...i'd ask a junkie.
when my doctor had me taking xanax and klonopin at the same time one of my verry exeprienced druggie friends said, hey wow 'that's two different meds from the same general family pyrbenosomethingsorothers... that's like half the fatal od cocktail if you mess it up at all...do you get pain meds too ?'
in general i think doctors get kind of oblivious about a lot of the details of interactions and overlapping scripts...
ideally a pharmacist with hunter thomson's personal experience would be prefered. yes...?

I don't "think" I know any junkies. My hubby says I wouldn't know it if I did. You are probably right. I think drs don't have time to keep up with all of the meds. They have to depend a lot on what the drug reps tell them. Then the pharmacists have to do their continuing education classes and they "have" to know about the meds. Every time I ask my younger brother a question, he always comes back with a comment after he gives his opinion. "Now if you die, don't come complaining to me." I trust him so much. I had one script that he refused to fill for me because he said it was dangerous for me to take and if I took it, it would be from another pharmacist. Needless to say, I didn't take it. I may be dense but I don't know about Hunter Tomson. Maybe you can fill me in. Our garden is really coming along. We are supposed to have storms late today. Hope I can say the same thing tomorrow. Wish we could get the rain (softly) without the storms. Hope you have a great day. Blessings. Possi

I am lucky, with 3 son and one daughter-in-law that are Pharmacists. In fact it was my oldest son that figured out that I had AS. This was after 40 years of going to Dr. with no Dx.

I know a few junkies but rarely see any of them which may be a good source of info for a few of the meds, but there is no way I could afford the prices they say they pay.

Yea, half the time when I go to the Dr and the nurse comes in and asks what meds I am on, most of the time they have no clue or say can you spell that...
We get all of our drugs at Walgreens, all I have to do is call the pharmacist, Ive called at 2 in the morning but they have always been happy to answer whatever questions I have had.
