sadly, the only thing i have found is to just not do it.
like lotus, i don't see family unless they come to see me,
they are not very understanding, but fortunately, i haven't
given in.
i commute 30 minutes each way to and from work, unless there is snow,
and then it can be over an hours. i started sitting on an ice pack
and that has really helped my SI/piriformis/hip.
but i still can't sit in a car for more than about 1.5 hours,
as that sets off trigger points in my upper back, thoraxic area.
even taking breaks isn't good enough, unless its several hour breaks.
