I got my labs from my last infusion on Aug. 30th and my liver enzymes are elevated, my iron is low, my potassium is low, blood in my urine. He wants to be on hold and see what happens as time passes since stopping the MTX which has been well over a month (I think). My pit edema is some better so we are cutting back the Lasix and my Asthma is better and cutting back the inhalers.

We are still pretty much in shock around here and not doing much except sitting. We have a lot of support from mutual friends. We are grieving together. Hubby hasn't worked all week. It has knocked him for a loop also. The first funeral is Monday and the next is the 15th and I don't know about her sister's yet. It has been such an unbelivable horrible violent thing and to happen to people you love has just been terrible.

Don't forget to stay close to those you love and show them and tell them daily or several times a day. Everything in their life was fine and 30 minutes later, changed forever.

I care so much about all of you here on the forum and I want you to know that I do and how much I appreciate you and your support. You are my online family.

Thank you for all of the calls and messages.

I think I will be here more now. I seem to be getting it together and hopefully won't be dwelling on it here. Stop me if I do.

Hope you have a blessed weekend. It is raining here. We are happy for a couple of inches but some places in OK have already received as much as 10 inches over night. We haven't here in Central OK but it is supposed to pick up this afternoon. So much for sitting out at a football game this afternoon!

Hugs and Blessings.

I'm glad to hear that you're doing better emotionally. I'm sure you've been a big comfort to others around you, as they have been for you. This kind of shock takes a while to get over. I don't want to ask for more than you want to share, but did they catch whoever did this?

I don't know what to say about your labs. It sounds like some things are better, and some aren't. I hope one of these days that you have more things that are better, and less that aren't.

Take care my friend.

Joyce dear, it's good to hear from you. When I hear things like what happend to your friends, it makes me wonder what this world is gearing up for with all the violence. I don't understand what posseses someone to take an inocent life.
Didn't your doc expect changes on your labs by now? I thought once you stopped the MTX, things would change for the better.
I'm leaving for Florida next week to see the kids, can't wait. I need a change of scenery. This week has been awful. My hubby accidently kicked me square in the knee with his work boot the other day. It's swollen, hot, and terribly painful. Add to that, major AS flare and I just want to crawl in a hole and die. I'm hopping some Florida sunshine will pull me out of it.
I will continue to pray for you. I hope the funerals will bring peace and closure.
Keep in touch dear one

Cindy

Hey, I'm glad to hear of the support you've been getting during this horrible time, hang in there and I hope your next set of tests brings lower liver enzymes and the like...

Peace

Hi Possi,

Thanks for the update. I am sure it has been a long week for you through this tragedy. I continue to pray that through all this that something good will come from it. I am sure you are one who will be a true comfort to others as you have been here to us.

It would be nice if they find the right combo of meds, etc. that will work well for you as well. You need a break.

I will be thinking of you during the next week.

It's good to hear from you again, Joyce. Take good care of yourself and get those lab results better, girl!

I'll be thinking about you as you grieve the loss of your friends and see to your own health.

Oh Possi, my dear. Catching up with posts and had to back-track to get the story of what happened - too horrible. Devastating. Such sadness. Please accept condolences.

Yes, will indeed stay close to those who mean much to me - my brother just came through a cerebral haemmorage. He was in Quebec City Hospital earlier this week, they looked after him really well, and he is well on the way to a good recovery. Phew!

Take care my dear Possi - and I hope they get your meds sorted. Many {{HUGS}}

I'm so glad to see you here Joyce and to see you gaining some strength for now.
There will be times I know but it is a bit better for now.

When do you have labs repeated do you know? There is a whole lot of stuff going on there. I'm glad no more MTX. Maybe Remi someday too?

Oh me, do they help or do you in? Guess each is different but you need to be treated with alot of TLC. Tell them we said so. hehe.
