I find this area interesting because I
like many of you, I would assume, are
on the NSD diet after reading Sinclair's
book and are actually wondering what
people eat since this is a diet that
even though there are many positives
the average trip to the supermarket can
be dismaying. So I post this to list
what I eat on a typical day...and what
I have learned. I invite your posts
to add to what I am saying. I read
many of the excellent reciepts but on
the typical day I have to eat quickly,
and now I can eat no "fast" "canned"
"premade" foods... so within that
context I add my daily information.
///which I plan to edit as I change, if
possible//
Breakfast..
Eggs, lettuce, cottage cheese,
yogart, water

Lunch,
Lettuce with some other veggie sliced onto
with a commercial dressing of wine, vinegar,
and oil...
Jack Mackeral or salmon patties..made by
baking mackeral or salmon
mixed with almond flour and eggs.
///Make alot of this and keep in fridge
for quickie meal..//
or a fish or meat leftover from
the night before dinner...If real
quick- I keep some boiled eggs on
hand....

Dinner...baked fish or hamburger pattie
made with a lettuce wrap..i found some
ketchup and relish at health food store
that have no evil ingredients..
salad again..boiled egg...spinach
or asperagus..sometimes I have
baked chicken...

boring diet...but hey, I feel better!

I have learned..that we..humans..can
adjust...Do I want to stop and grab
a quick burrito? of course..Do I want
to eat a donut...which the lovely ladies
offer me at work when they bring them in?
of course.. DO I want a piece of pizza
when I BUY IT for my teenage son and his
friends? of course..... does it make
me hurt? Yes....I have learned that I
can't afford it!

My back and neck actually make cracking
(Loosening) sounds now when I exercise..
This was not happening before...

I ran this diet by my Chiropractor...
a very up to date chiropractor who is
very busy...he said."I've heard of alot
of crackpot ideas...but, I think that
has a lot of credibility and makes
sense." I sent him a link to
KICKAS...anyway thanks for reading..
If you have comments that you don't
want to place here..or have any
suggestions about food to eat..
my email is sgt3884@yahoo.com...
and as an aside here...I take
salt...celtic sea salt twice a
day..as it is mineral filled.
I am a student of watercure2.com
and Dr. Batman, so I drink alot
of water daily.
Please don't spam me ..spam has
starch! Have a great day.

Trips to the supermarket are not too dismaying for me since I spend 90% of my time in either the produce or meat section. I avoid processed food and I believe that helps with the diet and hidden starches.

Agree... this diet is a bit more work, not too much for grab and go unfortunately. But can not put a price tag on the results.

Sounds like the diet is working for you. Best wishes on continued success.

Tim

How about some Coconut Oil?

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/coconut3.php

I just created a Daily Check Off list today, to help me stick to my routine:

Daily Check Off
Genetic diseases can be turned around by nutrition.
Dr. Weston A. Price, "Nutrition and Physical Degeneration”.

Pau D’Arco Tea
Dry Skin Brushing
Epson Salt Bath
Thymus Thumping

BREAKFAST
Poached Eggs, butter, coconut oil and salt
Ascorbic Acid and Baking Soda
Chlorofresh
Vitamins, misc.

SNACK
Chopped Chicken Liver, Raw Sauerkraut and Coconut Oil
Vitamin E and Cod Liver Oil

LUNCH
Mineral Broth Soup
Coconut Oil
Ascorbic Acid and Baking Soda
Chlorofresh

SNACK
Chopped Chicken Liver, Raw Sauerkraut and Coconut Oil

DINNER - protein and salad or vegetable, Healthy Fats
Ascorbic Acid and Baking Soda
Chlorofresh
Vitamins, misc.
Healthy Trinity
Coconut Oil

BEDTIME
Maxi C-Complex
Coconut Oil

I have been eating the same things everyday, only varies at Dinner. Boring, but I have to stop looking to food for excitement, and just give my body the nutrition it needs to heal.

It's not easy, which is why I am now going to use the daily check off, to help keep me focused. I had some cheats this weekend and I am paying dearly for it now. Live and learn. Only more proof that following this strick diet is the only way for me to feel fantastic everyday.

JEANNEMEDINA thank you for your
post...I have a question. You
speak of healing and that is good..
You eat chicken liver and raw
sauerkraut..twice a day. Could
you go into your reasons for
choosing these two foods?
Maybe you just enjoy eating
them but you seem more purpose
oriented in your other choices.
Thank you

I decided that the Thai/Vietnamese eat like I would like to eat (excluding the rice). So I'm mastering Thai cooking and have things like Thai Omelet with peanut sauce for breakfast (oh such heaven). Chicken Coconut milk soup for lunch. Perhaps a large salad at dinner.

It has been fun to learn how to cook the foods of another culture and certainly delicious!

Hi there.
Breakfast- when I have time.super fantastic smoothie
organic yogurt coconut oil spirulina lecithin kelp
flaxseed pumpkin seed whey fruit splash of
grapejuice
I drink this with a handful of raisons walnuts
on side. Tastes great. When Im rushed, bowl of
yogurt with blueberries grapes,strawberries
raisons walnuts.
Lunch- having difficulty with. Some type of protien
cheese fruit salad
Dinner- Typical would be,sirloin steak stir fry with
asparagus onions,slice of pepper,fresh pineapple
garlic,on a bed of sunflower sprouts.(crunch)
roasted almonds are good.
Dessert, clean ice-cream amond shortbread
snacks are dark choc. fruit cheese olives raw carrots

I have had good results with the above. I got into
trouble with barbucue sauces marinades and fancy flavored
dry pepper, spices. Also precut cheese marinades .
For me, flares are much more likely to happen when I dont
prepare and make ahead of time, foods for the day or days.
I now make several burgers at a time and freeze them.
I dont get enough protein.meat is not my favorite food.
I probably eat too much fruit. I dont think nsd has to be boring. Its just the everyday thing can be monotonous.

foods input...I Love Asian food...and am currently
looking into Kimchee...which is one of the most
healthy foods on the planet...but is it good
for AS? tell you what I cant see why at this
point...will let you know. Thank you for
joining this thread...add what you will...
a large point of this sight is...HEY,
I'm sick, what can I eat? One good thought
is = as you eat less, you will want less..
strange but true....John

My typical diet is in the success story thread... but to rehash a bit.

Breakfast:
- Always some sort of steamed veggy - brocoli, green cabbage etc...
- Eggs or turkey patty or beef patty
- Sometimes yogurt with probiotics
- Sometimes some sort of fruit (in states blueberries often... now kiwi or grapes)

Lunch
- Most of time salad with chicken or some sort of fish on top with olive oil and sometimes vinegar

Otherwise lunch is leftovers

Snacks
- Nuts (walnuts, almonds), dried fruit (raisons... in states also craisons, apples), apple, pears, kiwi, pineapple, melons, grapes

Dinner
Varies widely... lots of beef in Argentina since it is the best in the world and grass fed, chicken, turkey, fish with salads or grilled starch free veggies.

Have also began to eat some ice cream. Ice cream here is more natural and does not seem to cause an issue. Also at times will snack on chocolate now. Both caused issues in the past, but GI has healed some now.

Looking to trial brown rice in near future... bought, just need to cook it some night.

I am going to try a dish that
was placed in another post by
JeanneMedina....steamed cabbage
to replace spaggheti, meat,
cheese, and my addition to
this will be Prego Organic
mushroom spaghetti sauce.
I see no ingredient that would
place it on the no list.
But always best to read the
ingredients. I have purchased
kroger shredded sauerkraut in
a can...the ingredients are
cabbage, water, salt. Guess
I will have to eat it cold...
If I understand the starch world
cooking would release the evil
starch into the food. Is this
correct?
