OK, here's what happened. A muscle that seemed to attach to the back of my skull and went up to behind my eye was inflammed. This is NOT the muscle that I had a whiplash in a long time ago. It seemed to attach to the back of my head and went behind my eye and the whole thing was painful and sore. I looked in the mirror and didn't see any redness in my eye so didn't think Iritis. But what was it ?? It was quite sore and miserable. Maybe I just had the flu . . . Any ideas . . . am I just getting over paranoid about any ache or pain. Rio

Sorry - I have no idea what could be causing your pain....However, if you ever have ANY pain in, or around, your eyes please get to an opthalmologist ASAP. Your eyes are so precious it's not worth taking any chances

Don't wait until your eye turns red, as it may not. I had irits for several months w/out knowing it b/c it was at the back of my eye, not the front. When the pain and vision finally became unbearable I went to a GP. As soon as I told him I had AS he immediately sent me to a specialist. (Fortunately the GP knew enough about AS to make the connection with irits, even tho he couldn't see anything obviously wrong!)The specialist told me I could have lost my sight if I'd waited much longer to get treatment b/c my eye would never have turned red!!!

I don't mean to scare you, but just think you should get it checked out, to be on the safe side

Good luck,

Sue

I think it may all be a little too much. Sigh. Well, you never know what's going to happen next that's for sure. This is definitely a disease for the person who wants to experience a little bit of EVERYTHING !!! Bye for now, Rio

Dear Sue in Oz,
Thanks for that information, that the eye doesn't have to turn red to have the Iritis. It's a good thing you went to the Opthamalogist. I guess I shall take myself to the one in the next town over so he can take a look at it.
Thanks again for the information and your story. Rio

Dear Janet,
That is possible. I didn't know sinus could hurt behind the eyes but I guess that's about where some of them are. Yes it went away and I feel better. Never know what's going to happen next !! Thank you for the input,
Sincerely, Rio
