If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I like how you think Inannna. Laughter is pretty good medicine.

Remember the twenty years you added to your life through clean, healthy living? Well- these are them.
I think there was a different meaning in that though. Society is very into getting out the message that you must live a healthy lifestyle to live longer. It seems to me that even if you prolong your life, the body can only take so much....Kind of darned if you do, darned if you don't.
Can you think of conversation you have had with her about living a healthy lifestyle... eating right, exercising?
I often wonder why I get those kind of things sometimes. You can probably find a little bit of yourself in anything like that. In fact, my boss sent me an email that pretty much said if you think everyone is psychotic then maybe YOU are the crazy one. I was pretty nutty during that time and trying to figure out what was wrong with me. I found out it was a brain tumor but I really though she was trying to tell me I was psychotic. I was going off about how that isn't supposed to be allowed in the workplace and getting really upset about it. When I calmed down, I didn't really feel like it was ok for her to send that in the work place but I realized it wasn't directed at me.

Hi there just to add my 2 cents...if I rec'd the same cartoon from a friend, I would probably think that it was nice that they thought of me and and know of my pain....nothing more nothing less
I've got AS, and the only prescription is "more cowbell"

Hi there, I wouldn't be offended. Your friend was thinking of you and wanted to brighten up your day with a laugh (unless you know this "friend" to be malicious). My sister and I have always shared laughs together but she is uncomfortable talking about my medical problems and so we joke about it instead. I know she cares and I like to laugh about it/laugh at myself. That's not to say that I don't have frustrating, low moments where the pain is too much and for once I just wish there was someone who understood, but that's what the forum is for All the best, Ruby

No offence taken. If that doctor was accurate about the extra twenty years for clean healthy living then I should have died twenty years ago, before I got my hump. Recently a certain cartoon drawing with a racial comment nearly started a war. If we can't laugh at ourselves...just laugh at someone elses expense. Hardee, har, har, Steve

I suspect it would hurt a bit since I am sensitive about my appearance but I wouldn't be offended since folks often sumble in efforts to communicate.
I do have an evil side that might make me take a bit of a vague swipe back. Just enough to make me chuckle not enough to let the sender catch on or feel parrticularly hurt.

Yes, that's very offensive - and she doesn't deserve to be your friend...you need to confront her on her rude behavior and tell her that if she can't be supportive then to not contact you at all. Take it from one who knows - people who mock you for your pain & suffering are NOT people you can afford to have in your life when suffering from this disease - you need to conserve your energy & strength for people more deserving of your time & effort. I'm very sorry that your 'friend' is so insensitive - nobody deserves that kind of treatment - she obviously has some issues and is, at the least, massively uncomfortable about how to deal with your pain - but that doesn't excuse her behavior one iota. Very Sincerely, C-
