If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Welcome! I am glad you are here. Iritis is very serious so any time that you think you are having a problem with your eyes, it is time to see the Optho. I was having continuous Iritis/Uveitis but 150 mg. Imuran daily holds it. It is the only thing along with a maintenance dose of Pred that we have found to hold it. I am glad you are here. I am sorry you have the need to be. Blessings. Possi

Wow, everyone is so nice, it's almost overwhelming. As far as my history, I'm not on remicade yet, but the rheumy was talking about putting me on it during my first visit. He seems pretty good, I was at his office for 2.5 hours. I'm hoping he'll tell me tomorrow. I'm on a drug called Protonix for my digestive problems. I've had those for many years and have graduated from over the counter to Axid to Prilosec to now Protonix. Even on that, I have spent some time over the porcelain bowl, especially lately. I'm not sure when all of the other signs started showing. I've had arthritis for about 10 years now. I've been to the orthopaedic doctor during that time for back pain, hip pain, plantars fascitis and heel spurs. He said I have Degenerative Disc disease. During the last 6 or 7 years I've been to the doctors for pleurisy at least once or twice a year. My rheumy says that perhaps some of those visits were not really pleurisy, but AS. I was on Celebrex until last year when I found out that I have a bit of a heart murmur and a minor leaky heart valve. I've read that AS can cause problems with your heart, and I'm wondering if that's what happened here. That's when I was put on Voltaren. They all seem to agree that I have a curvature in my spine, but I don't know which way the curve goes. I plan on asking tomorrow. I always thought I was just falling apart with these different things going on. But at least now I understand something of what's going on. If anyone has any good advice for what I should ask my Dr. tomorrow, I'd love to hear it. Again, I'd like to thank everyone for all the kind words.
