Nothing to be embarrased about Paul. There are probably thousands of them lurking in Toronto

I just found this topic. I CANNOT BELIEVE the NHL has been on strike for a year now!! I'm a Blues fan, and I didn't get my Blues fix and that is just WRONG! I'm so thankful my fiance proposed to me in the 2003-2004 season, he suprised me with two fourth row seats tickets for that same night right after asking me!! But living in Kansas City since 2000 has not been easy, before that I lived in St. Louis all my life, and Kansas City is just not a hockey town. But now that I am moving back to St. Louis, I am not happy that I could get tickets a lot easier if they were playing! Though I could still see the St. Louis River Otters, which many of the St. Louis Blues players play for now. Which I heard the Blues players donate the money they make from the games to charity, so that's really cool. But still, I MISS MY BLUES HOCKEY!!!!
Take care,
Vicky

I feel the same way Paul.

I've resorted to watching chess games instead. Don't count on watching hockey on TV for some time. They may likely settle their differences at the last moment, maybe one week before the next season starts.

By then, I will have been hooked on watching the little tykes next door fight over the toys in their sand box. Better yet, their mother doesn't even give them penalties. Wow, the fights! Guess they have no rules about hitting each other with plastic shovels in that game either. And I don't have to pay to watch.

Nore fun to watch the kids than watch a bunch of millionaires squabble.

Yes Vicky,

I do agree with your comments about all the good things the hockey teams do. Ever since the NHL has stopped playing, the Vancouver Canucks players have been busy in taking part in fund-raising for several needy groups.

Vancouver's Childrens Hospital is one of their special places and not just the fund raising. The players and especially Trevor Linden, visit the hospital regularly and the kids love it.

Most Canadians will be watching the game Hana. We are hoping that Canada will win the Championship for the third year in a row.

Let us hope that both our teams will play well.
Best of luck to your team.

George

It was a good game, only the last minute we thought the fight wasnt really necessary ...

Hana,

Congrats on the victory... now wondering if you can do me a favor. I am a huge Wisconsin Badger hockey fan... any chance you can convince any of the college age hockey players over there to attend Wisconsin We need a little help.

Congrats on the big victory!

Tim
