Rick,
Thank you for being n awsome brother to let us all know how Dan is doing. My prayes are with you all as well. I don't think I have had the pleasure of meeting Dan yet. I do remember reading his encouraging posts.

We are all thinking of you Dan, and our prayer go out to you. My brother inlaw had a head injury, and was in a comma for four months. He had to learn to read again after he came out of the coma. funny thing was he could write, but couldn't read. Good luck Dan.

Got this email from my dad this morning.
"We, got some good news today. A minister from Dan's church came to see him and prayed at his bedside and when he left his mom saw his eyes full of tears. He has not had tears in his eyes before. She immediately took his hand and ask him to squeeze her hand and she felt him squeeze her hand once. One eye is partially open most of the time.
That is not a lot of progress, but it is a start. Thank God, for this news!!!
Nothing has got worse.
Please keep the prayers and get well thoughts coming, even more than before..."

Rick, thank you so much for thinking to come here and let us know what's happened. Please know that Dan is very much at the fore of my prayers. White light and love are coming his way as I type. Please, Rick, hold your family when you see them and let them know that there are a ton of folks here who care about Dan. Many hugs, KatI just read your update saying that Dan showed some awareness. Oh man.....
Dan has been very active here and an inspiration to me....he started his own organization dedicated to helping people cope with pain and the workplace....
I am saddened by this news but hopeful for Dan's full recovery and seeing him post here again...all my energy goes out to him and his loved ones...

Well hope starts in little incremets. I only met Dan briefly. Seems like he is a fighter. Sending best wishes an hopeful thoughts his way. Thank you so much for the update and the information. Let his folks know how many people here care.   stevec-they also serve who stand and wait
