Today I found out that the store I am working at is being sold. I will still have a job but it is a sad day because the store is owned by my mother and stepfather. The economy around here went to hell after Sept 11 and Boeing corporate left and a lot of other things. I feel so bad for my parents. I have been worried about them for a long time. My mother was losing her job at Airborne express after DHL bought it and we weren't sure if they were going to offer her a retirement package. They are, thank god. I knew the store was not doing well and think that that stress was what caused my recent bout of gut and stomach distress. I knew that my stepdad was going through an amazing amount of stress and I was worried that he would have some major health crisis over it. The bills got out of hand and he invested in too many machines and gadgets for the store. I had a feeling it was too much. It was only a matter of time. Now I am going to have to work for someone I don't particularly like until the new owner gets here. I don't like this situation at all. I don't know what to expect. I hate that. I have been thinking about getting a new job for awhile and I guess this is the kick in the pants I needed. This has been a lousy day and hearing this news just topped it off. The store was my stepdad's big dream. I am sorry to have to see him give it up.

I had my colonscopy & endoscopy last Tues and everything was fine. No signs of inflammation, ulcers, Crohn's or otherwise. Looked perfectly healthy. I am still waiting to hear what my biopsy said....celiac disease or not? I am sure it will be negative on that too.

Christina,

I'm sorry to hear you're having such a stressful time right now. When things get rough everything starts to look shaky. Just remember to take care of yourself and try to think of the positive things you've been given recently...with the tests coming back negative, and your parents sound like thier health is still good. Your in my thoughts and prayers.

Tiffany

Hi Christina, it is always difficult when something like this happens, but when it happens to people you love, it's worse. As you say, this could be the kick in the butt that you need to get out there and get a different job, but still the reason for it sucks.

Hopefully, your stepdad won't get overly bogged down by this and will be able to turn it into the opportunity to pursue another dream.

I'm glad to hear that the test results came back clear. There's something to celebrate!!

Many hugs,

Kat
