It's 11:30 and my nephew is out of surgery. They removed a blood clot and put in a drainage tube. The doc says the brain swelling is under control and the scariest part is over with. He is going to spend a few days in critical care. I am praying that he does not have a lot of brain damage to come back from. If he does we will all be here for him.

Thank you all for your support

Christina

Christina, this was bad I will be praying for the little fellow and his family. How is your brother doing? He must be feeling terrible, give him an extra hug.
I'm glad he did well through surgery, the doctor is right it was the scariest part.
Keep us posted.

hugs,

Jade

Eric and I got up not too long ago and found this.

Alec is in our prayers for sure. I know that we are a little late here, but we will continue to pray for him through out the days to come.

The best of luck to you and your family.

Hugs
Lori

Christina,

I am so sorry to hear the news of your nephew. I am relieved to hear he has made it through the surgery. That is the first hurdle and I am hoping a sign of his future progress. Try and keep positive as you can under the circumstances. Remember, kids are usually resilient. I will keep you and your family in my prayers and thoughts. Take care.

Dear Christina,

I just saw this thread and my heart sank . What a tragic accident. I am glad your nephew made it through the surgery and each day that goes by I pray that he will recover completely. Your brother is also in my prayers. As parents we hurt more when our children are injured or sick. I'm sure he has such a heavy burden of guilt and responsibility however unwarranted due to the fact it was an accident. He will need much support from all who love him.

As Deborah has stated, children can be so much stronger than we realize. I hope and pray that little guy will be a fighter and come back strong.

Take comfort in knowing we are all here for you.
peace & love
Kathy

Kids are so strong. I'll put my prayers out to this little one. I can't bear the notion of little ones getting injured in any way.

Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Christina. Emergency surgery is scary at any time but for one of such a tender age it is particularly heartwrenching.

Please give your brother a long hug and let him know that an accident is exactly that. It is hard to imagine how much he may desperately need to hear this spoken out loud. I will keep him in my prayers too, and pray that your little nephew may recover completely.

With love and strength for you,

mig
