Just a quick note. The one thing I've added to my diet that I didn't ever do previously is coffee. I drink a pot aday, Folgers French Vanilla, gogogogogogogo.......
Perhaps some bearing, perhaps not.

...one of my doctors asked about coffee...Told him i drank folgers French Roast.......He said oh, ok, cool;
dark coffee has less cafeine than the middle-brow brews...the longer, darker roasting process causes
loss of cafeine...I drink a small pot of it every day.

Hi Allan,

I avoid coffee for two reasons. One is it keeps me awake at night if I drink it on a regular basis, the other is I like it with too much sugar. Sugar and me do not agree these days. Otherwise, for an occasional treat I will indulge.

Luckily, I like mine black. Though the French Vanilla flavor makes it kinda taste like it has sugar in it. It seems like after just a couple of sips I get an elevated level of energy and I feel looser. So by the end of the pot... I feeling gooood, like I knew that I would, nanananaaaa....whatever.

Doesn't sound like you've got to the end of the pot yet........

I guess you read the current research about coffee being excellent for the liver? Bit of a shock that was.. Perhaps having a tired liver is a critical factor in AS..

here's a theory
Toxins and antigens (and nutrients) coming from the small intestine first have to pass through the liver (via the portal vein). And if the liver doesn't remove all the toxins then they will pass into circulation and drive your immune system crazy.

Thanks to our wonderful admin, we now have the old Forum up.. Including the posts regarding "Coffee Enema's" [rofl]... check it out:

I think my partner would freak out if I did this stuff. But seems to work, so I'm willing to give it a shot.. probably while she isn't around !

Can coffee help to fight AS?????

I dont drink it first because i just dont like the taste and second everyone seems to excpect people to drink coffee after turning certain age (and this age is going down, I guess it is about 16-17 in the Czech republic), everyone asks me if I want coffee when I come somewhere and I just dont like to do things just because they are expected.

So my question is, should I think this coffee thing over???
