If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

I'm one of those John spoke of in his post. I saw Ebringer in Vegas this year and knew enough to do the diet and have not looked back – much. ;)
Here are my answers:
1) Have you had d) great success with any dietary modification?
2) Did your diet exclude a) all starch?
In all fairness, I do occasionally raid my daughter's gummi bears which have corn starch in them. I still eat chocolate and drink soda. I feel great.
Occasionally, I have drifted into the misty waters and eaten five pretzel sticks that were enough to cause regret the following day until I could get passed it. ;)
Best wishes to you.
John, I owe you a phone call. Sorry I've been MIA.

1d, 2d I went on LSD for 6, 7 months and the pain went down considerably. Then I started to cheat and have been doingf so for 3,4 months. In my case, attitude and the pscyhe plays a more important role. Cooking Oils are the worst culprit, worse than starch in my case that is.
I eat a lot of fruits and fibre, along with regular diet now.
I make sure I move my bowels twice a day atleast. I have not taken NSAIds in the last 10 months, except 3,4 times I think.
I am not sured , have bad days occasionally. now the fear is not the pain, but that I am getting used to living like this - which I dont want to.

hello results of the diet=1d (sine feb 2002, had up and down while finding what can make my AS flare up, very good since may) my diet=french low toxic diet (Seignalet 's regimen) low starch diet (no potatoes, low gluten diet= sometimes raw bread or bran bread, often eating raw rice) i avoid milk and diary, chocolate and all sugar, sweets.... no industrial food or canned food, no fried food, no alcohol especialy white wine, no spicy food, meat or fish once a day , lost of fruits & vegs. i take vitamines, elements & omega fat acid (canola oil, flaxseed wheat) still using 200mg celebrex/day, in my experience, gluten makes my alleries flare up but my AS (to be true, it's rather a psorisic arthritis ) tolerates few bread (bran or raw) while potatoes seems to be dangerous? had no pain in my back since i stopped milk and all milk based food (feb 2002) manu from france Edited by manu_from_france on 10/16/03 07:20 AM (server time).
the blog where you can read some translations in french of Ebringer's work, info about immunologist Seignalet's diet, testimonies...

I've been on an LSD/NSD for over two years.
#1 - D. Great Success. At first I did an NSD still allowing sugar and it worked fine. Much improved. I have since switched to an atkins-like diet with no starch or sugar. Works great.
#2 - A, B, and some C. I no longer eat sugars or starches, but I do eat some dairy. I still have cream and cheese in some moderation.

1 d. big improvement 2. e. modified NSD/LSD
I can honestly say, I seem to have notice an instant, amazing change after just one day of pretty much eliminating starches. I have had a pretty mild case, an achy back and hip, but now there's no aches, pains, nothing. Maybe the yoga I did the night before helped too.
I do still take cream in my coffee. However, I have resisted the urge to consume a warm cinnamon roll with it. It's tough.
I have had a hard time grocery shopping w/o starch, esp. convenience foods for a lazy 34 y.o. bachelor. McDonald's chicken cobb salad seems to be relatively low starch for the mall food court, except maybe the dressing.
I never really took much in the way of pain meds. Maybe the occasional Tylenol, aspirin, or ibuprofen. Earlier, I seemed to have some subtle but noticeable improvement with glucosamine.
I am so thankful for finding out about this lo/no starch idea; it really seemed to make a big change for me. Thanks, kickas.org.
