If you want to use this QR code (Quick Response code) just save the image and paste it where you want. You can even print it and use it that way. Coffee cups, T-Shirts etc would all be good for the QR code.

Dear friends:
I have been following this forum a year, I have been diagnoticsed as AS for 2 year, recently, I found coffee is a very efficient way to kick AS, I began to drink coffee regularly for about 9 month and in this 9 month, seldom I have serious back pain and neck pain, I recommend you guys have a try!
I resort to NHS for One year, I only got one appointment and they give me a blood test, and then another 14month to wait for next appointment!!!! such a good system!!
Ben

Hi Ben Interesting "cure" and i'm glad you found something that helps you. Unfortunately, i'm convinced that coffee for me has far more negatives than positives. These include calcium leaching and gut damage. I do still take it, but only black and from good quality beans/processor. Do you use instant? White? Decaf? Ted

I am using tesco classic rich roast heavenly coffee(instant coffee, granules), I do not have much knowledge about coffee, but I found this one is most effective!
I drink this because, I take Votalin and Sulf which make me sleeping too much, as long as 14 hours, while I am doing MBA which command a lot of time, so I began to drink coffee, and then I found less pain and sometime I can forget the pain!

Yeah ! I have wondered the same for a long time actually. I would drink more coffee , if only I didn't get so darn tense ...
I wonder if decaf works ???
I think bilko mentioned that there was discussion about coffee enemas on the old kickAS forums (which no longer exist..)
imagine that .. z

Hi Ben. I'm glad you've found something that works for you. I would caution you, however, that being on Voltaren and Sulfasalazine is putting pressure on your liver. Coffee also is damaging to the liver, not to mention that coffee cuts your bodies ability to process some of the vitamins and minerals we need so very badly with AS. Like many treatments, be aware if the long term effects, OK? Perhaps there is some way you can get the same effect without the coffee? Hugs, Kat

I had not been taking Volt and Sulf, since I took Coffee, I think Coffee will be at least a better choice than Volt and Sulf.
I still felt that the AS is developing, but it is not bother some, it is not a cure, but let me feel better!

Some people have had success with Noni. I put it with ochra, lychees, cranberry juice and aloe vera as a healer and muco-polysaccharide "liner' for the gut. It may even be nearly as good as quality clear aloe vera gel, but at triple the price and with 100 times the hype it is far less value. But if it works, just go for it. Ted

well I think I will start with some of the more positive research regarding coffee. ""METHODS: A hospital-based case-control study of digestive tract and liver diseases was conducted in Greater Milan, Italy, including 101 cases with liver cirrhosis and 1538 controls. RESULTS: Compared with coffee non-drinkers, the multivariate odds ratio (OR) was 0.77 for one cup of coffee per day, 0.57 for two, and 0.29 for three or more. The OR for 40 years of coffee consumption or more was 0.45. Trends in risk were significant for both number of cups and duration of coffee drinking. No significant association was observed with decaffeinated coffee, tea and cola-containing beverages.""Does coffee protect against liver cirrhosis? Ann Epidemiol. 2002 Apr;12(3):202-5. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov:80/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=11897178&dopt=Abstract----------------------------- so, if I interpret this right... people who drank large amounts of coffee halved their rates of liver AND gut diseaseI say bottoms up to this much maligned brew z "So long and thanks for all the fish" - Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy
