I gotta say, Loz, I'm not too sure about the floury potatoes and swede myself. But thanks for the recipe.

Well, look at it this way, if you fell into your own torch, at least they'd be able to see you from miles away!! You'd be a great rolling fire ball!

Hugs,

Kat

I've been thinking about the perfect day for the last couple days.

I keep thinking about Loz's perfect day and how much that would be. Sounds great to me. So I guess I'll just go with Loz.

The only thing I would change would be that I win the slalom race. Sorry Loz.

Turnips and potatoes

For some Brits, the early crop are neeps, the mature crop are turnips, to the Scottish, they mash the H--- out of turnips and call them mashed neeps. Whenever I go to a Burns night dinner, they always have Haggis and mashed neeps (and of course, gravy of Scotch or beer).

Hi George, surprisingly, neeps are not turnips. They are swede.

http://www.bordglas.ie/vegetables/swede.htm
"Turnips and swedes are both members of the Brassica family and are closely related to each other - in fact their names are often confused. In Ireland and Scotland, swedes are traditionally referred to as turnips - they are known as neeps in Scotland. Swedes are a globular root, yellow and purple in colour with yellow flesh. They have a milder flavour than turnips. They are a good source of fibre, vitamins A, C and folic acid."

Hi Fred,
Love your quote!

How 'bout we enter different races, one for you 18 year olds and one for us 21 year olds? :^)
