I've heard about the "new" despensers for Enbrel. That is great.
Cindy, my needle unscrews from the syringe. I accidently discovered this in the beginning when I had to replace the needles when they got clogged.
When we started this study, everything was preloaded and ready to go.
After setting in the frig for several weeks, the Enbrel would crystalize and clog the needle. They also found out that the needles get dull when you go through the rubber on the water bottle and than the rubber on the Enbrel vial. They now have me mix with one needle and than unscrew that needle and replace with a new one prior to the injection. Maybe this is why they are changing their method.

I agree Cindy, for 1300 dollars for four shots a month, a nurse should be included to administer the shots. But, we live in a captialist society and the big company will make the big dollars...... 
I'm a little pain on the "AS"..

Well I got the new presentation box.....Wouldn't you know it just more trouble now.....Now you have to insert a needle to the sryringe....I thought maybe they would come out with something like what Kineret has.....a simple injector...all you do is place the filled syringe into an injector...even takes the cap off the needle....and you don't even see the syringe until you take it out to throw it away.... Oh well.....what a bunch of crap...

I just got my September supply, and it is still the same as the old kit, so I will have to wait to put my 2 cents into this new Enbrel Injector post!

Yes, they told me (Enbrel) that the first supply in Oct the new tray with the 27gauge needle will come out. I am so use to old one that I don't think I will mess with the new method.....
